About Me
I started this site in 2006 for fun and reconnection purposes ONLY. I gave up this site several years ago. Currently, I do not support of condone this site any longer and have nothing to do with its content, most of which I disagree with. Therefore, will rarely come here and have asked the moderators to delete me from their "all-mailing" lists.
My Interests
I am a self taught computer geek. I also enjoy real estate and stocks.
Employment or Career
I have been living in Tampa, FL since 1979. Like many of us back then, I started a window cleaning company to support myself. Over the years it grew into a company with over 60 employees and managers. I sold in 2006 to a large company and stayed on as Vice President for a while. In lieu of retirement I started another company called JR Services. I married Hope Harmon a 6th Corps alumnus, whom I love "with all my heart". We have two children.
Sports Teams I like
Tampa Bay Bucs Tampa Bay Lightening

Thank you John for your kindness.
John, I apologize I was told you didn't need to be a Way Corps grad to belong to this site and since I'm not then I should be deleted. We were only in about 10 months. I'm thankful for the time we were in and the training we received like L.E.A.D. Dr, Bob, Dottie, were wonderful to us. Thank you for your time and effort. Sorry about the inconvenience
In regard to R. Lunsford's comments in this thread. Glad to see that you are still hearing The Father's leading. He still has us all going through some kind of 'school' He chastises those He loves don't you know.
Ha. Thanks. I like this site.
OH YIKES!!!!!!
What happened to the Music Box (with the popout) on the Main Page????
People from Florida retire to Michigan and drive slow, revenge is sweet!
I can't believe I didn't find this site sooner. It's been so nice seeing smiles on my brothers and sisters faces, and how life has turned out for them. I used to share a story with my clients of a survey done on all the people 100 or older still alive, and one of the questions they were asked was, "If you could return to any age, what would it be?" The number one answer was age 70, surprisingly enough. When asked why 70, they said that was the age they figured out life's problems have a way of working themselves out. That kind of describes how I felt about the Way.
But I do want to say, publicly, the last ROA I went to, 86 I believe, I felt the loving spirit, or whatever it was that made the Way International, The Way International was gone, replaced by something malignant, that would never heal. It was just what I felt, something in my spirit, everything was wrong, Wierwille, Geer, Martindale, everything, a curtain had fallen that would never be lifted, a blindness had fallen. But that spirit of The Way, the good parts, passed into each of us, lived on in each of us. That's got to be God.
I kept in touch with Marc Wilder, and Valerie Knowles for a number of years, but kind of dropped off the Way grid, until Grease Spot, and followed some of the news there. It's a real head trip for something that caused so much good, to turn out so wrong at the same time. But then I recall Phill, no matter how Christ is preached, I therein rejoice. For me, looking in the eyes of my children, is what God was preparing for me all the years in, or out, of the Way.
I was in Raleigh NC, my corps assignment in 79, but returned to Muncie in May of 1988, to be with my Dad, who died a few months later in August of 88. I was going through a divorce, as well, and a career change, the 3 most stressful life events all at once! But, like I told clients, it will all work out for the best. My Dad hugged me 3 days before he died, when I'd lost everything that ever mattered to me, wife, kids, ministry, and career, and quoted his favorite saying, "Son, this too shall pass." And it did.
I was married to Cathy Wilson from NC for 9 years, and we have 2 children, my son Wes is praise director for Lake Hills Church in Austin, and daughter Christy is a librarian in Bristol Virginia. I never remarried, kind of surprises even me, given my good lucks, charm, and heck, I'm even a great cook! Might be my snoring or overtly opinionated nature, though, lol.
Corporate America was never a good fit for me, and the bigger we got, the more BS there was to shovel. Whenever people lose money, the regulators(and politicians) come out of the wood work to make sure things are as inefficient as possible. When the company started making investment decisions based on their liability rather than the clients best interests, I knew it was time to get out. Plus, God dropped a deal in my lap to transfer to one of the best advisors in the country, which was critical to me, as I was very close to all my clients. But in an odd sense, and the most obvious spiritual moment I've had in years, I could feel God leading me out of my business, to something I'm still not clear on, but don't need to be, it just feels right.
Now, I'm thinking of hitting the road for awhile with my dog, my mandolin, a cooler full of home made brews, and seeing some people and places I've never seen. Heck, I may even grow a pony tail, get an ear ring, and a corduroy sport coat with patches on he sleeves and start hanging out at Star Bucks, my possibilities are endless!
Last time I was in Tampa was to see Marc Wilder, who was working as a physicians assistant there. I've g
