Robert Lunsford commented on John Richeson's blog post Old Before Your Time
"Excellent Ray LaMontaigne tune, my band and I have played this for a few years, intense lyrics. "Turning, from the past at last, I'm gonna let it end, could it be that I'm finally learning? Learning Im deserving, of love and a peaceful heart, won't…"

I can't believe I didn't find this site sooner.   It's been so nice seeing smiles on my brothers and sisters faces, and how life has turned out for them.  I used to share a…"

"Hey, Mike and Lisa, so great to hear from you.  Yes, I put in my 25 with Ameriprise, my Dad was a Division manager, spent 38 years with IDS/American Express, was a bit of a legend with the good old boys, and built the company we have now.  I wonder…"

A hearty "me too", Billy, just recently came to grips with some old Way issues.  Whatever happened, It left me…"

  • Hi Bob. I just read your profile. Congratulations on your success in life. And I think you know what I mean when I say "success". It made me happy to read it and to see smiling faces of you and your family. At our ages I think we are beginning to see what is really important in life. Family is one of them in my opinion.

I too, found myself consumed in business for decades due to a tiny business I started here when we graduated from the 7th Corps. That thing grew into a good size and successful one with 60 employees. Had enough by 2007 and sold it to a pretty big company and am semi-retired. I have not been able to bring myself to use the "R-etirement" word yet because I am always getting myself involved in something. :) But yeah....its nice to be unburdened by the business world. I can only speak for myself though.

Anyway this page is not about me. It's about you and I am happy for you.
I am still here....on my original "assignment" I guess since 1979!  Ha, ha. Maybe I hold the record for being in the same "area" longer than anybody from our 7th Corps group.

But really...I just like Florida so I stayed! Now let me ask you retirement specialists.....where does person from Florida retire to? Ha, ha?

  • Hello Bob Lunsford - nice to see your name and pictures after all these years.  So you worked as a CFP for Ameriprise!   Good for you - I am doing the same, just have not retired yet.  (After all - there is no heavy lifting!).  Anyway, congratulations on your retirement and welcome to this site.  Perhaps we will see each other face to face before we see the Lord face to face.

  • Welcome brother

  • Hello Bob. Sorry I took so long. I was occupied with a work project. It's great to see your name again. It was fun being in the 7th Corps with you all those years ago.

Welcome to the Way Corps Site! It has been a lot of fun for many of us, even if only visiting once in a while. There are over 1,670 members registered here. It is a good format for staying in touch and remembering some of our fun times in The Way Corps such as this photo might illustrate.

You will find a cross section of many people from many different Corps groups ranging from Way Corps 1 to Way Corps 40. There is a search feature that will allow you to find people easily. We have a lot of fun content to look over from or varied past.

Here is a welcome letter I wrote when I started this site some 6 years ago.

Let me know if I can help you with anything or answer any questions. I hope you enjoy this site.
