I used to be Frank's sister-in-law. Married his brother Mark.

We are so blessed to be able to give and heal the broken hearted.

  • Hey Susan, thanks for being such a wonderful example of being loving.

It is better to be loving than to be right.

  • HI Susan, I'm off to go climbing in Utah in a few minutes but wanted to just say God Loves you and so do so many other people Have a great one!
  • Marti,

I'm not sure about the sculpture. What was it made out of? In my mind, I'm seeing a blob of blue plastic--could that be it?

    Sue
  • Hi Sue,
Yes, I remember Rick Ely as well. I remember going to his apartment and I remember his face and a bit of his personality. I think my mom was quite good friends with him. It's so interesting to hear all these names after all these years.
Say hello to those guys for me if you stay in touch with them!
After we left Memphis, we moved to Nashville for 2 years while my mom worked at the limb office. From there we went to Indiana with the Family 6 corps, then to Virginia as WOWs. After that we headed to Colorado, and she got married. I've been in this state ever since, and I love it here!
Great to catch up with you!

    Marti
P.S. Yes my mom's name was Mary. Also, do you remember the dunamis sculpture?
  • Hi Susan,
It sure is nice to reconnect. Its like reminiscing with total strangers.
Yes Utah is nice. I guess it must be since I have been here for 20 years. (Or it could be the mormon vortex that sucks people in so they cant leave)
We didnt spend much time together, but I do remember you. Sure was some good times.
    Keep in touch.

  • Hi Susan,
I absolutely DO remember you and Mark and Bob Dodd. Wow! That must've been thirty years ago! It's great to see your photo. It reminds me so much of how I'll always remember my mom! She always had her Bible open on the table like that, and never stopped reading and searching. Her name was Mary. She remarried in 1981, then had two more kids that I love very much. She discovered she had breast cancer in 1991 (it was advanced when she discovered it) and managed to last another ten great years. She never lost her faith through the whole ordeal. It strengthened it, actually. Were we in a twig with you? I do remember you, but can't quite place you into a context. Did you have a little "dunamis" sculpture in your living room, and were you and Mark into fasting and supplements? If that's the case, I remember going to your house for fellowships. In Memphis, I remember spending a lot of time playing at MSU while my mom took various classes (PFAL,etc.) I was in elementary school at the time. Thanks for contacting me! It's great to hear from you! I'll add some photos soon. Marti
  • Hi Susan,
Actually, Kristy just cut her hair off about 6 months ago. It has been short a couple of times thru the years but it was below her shoulders for the last 10. It was great to see your picture. I am so blessed with site, I really didn't think we'd ever get connected again until the Lord came back for us.
  • Janis Lang would like you to contact her at doulee888@yahoo.com
  • Susan,

How thoughtful of you to remember me! I've been in school and working so have not been on the site for over a month and wanted to get back to you.

Yes, I remember you, and you sound so happy! High School sweetheart - How cool! and the Hubble Space Telescope - that's cool, too!

My husband was in line for a job at NIST a couple of years ago so we almost headed for the east coast but it fell through and now he helps make Harley's.

We're off to Minnesota for the holidays, the first with our granddaughter so I'm kind of excited.

    Have a wonderful Holiday!

    Leann
