Stephen Kingsley commented on Steve Sann's blog post Way Corps Alumni Letter - New Years 2020
"Hi Steve,    I live in Idaho and our paths have crossed a few times. I'm in the Lewiston area and if you ever get over this way, I would love to have a cup of coffee with you. I'm graduate of BG Leonard's full Bible course, graduated from that in…"

John Richeson commented on Stephen Kingsley's blog post Trying to Explain
"Very well stated, Stephen. Thanks for sharing that insight. My favorite part  "It was not the accuracy of the Word that saved me. Jesus did." In my humble opinion, The Way and The Way Corps, PFAL and even the bible itself were (very) imperfect aids…"

I had to try to explain The Way to a colleague today. It was tough to get through. I do not need to explain it to any readers here; you lived it too. But, in the interest of our Lord Jesus, I would share some of my reflections on what I have learned…

"Hi John,
I have not been here much and desperately need to update my page, but I'm glad The Way Corps Ning is still here. Thank you.
Not sure what to say other than I hope someone can take it over. As admin could you send out an e-mail to everyone…"

"Hi Reed, Yep. I remember you. You're from here! I didn't know that. I don't think I've met your brother yet. Are you related to the Wasem family that owns the drug store in Clarkston? Sounds like you're doing well. BTW, I just bought a Golden…"

"George,

What Frank meant by his comment is easy enough to see. He thinks JAL has a big ego. So what? That's no surprise, and not a horribly wounding judgment. It'll roll off Lynn easily enough. But tho' Frank thinks that, he's doesn't want to…"

"John Lynn and his blog friends.

Please bear with me. I must add something to this discussion.

I wasn't saved by an accurate knowledge of the Word, or the knowledge of the truth. I couldn't have quoted single verse. I was saved by Jesus. I had…"

"A last plea for love's sake and reason. After this, I'm likely to bow out here. Too many other things to do and my dear wife is mad at me for spending too much time at the computer (she's right of course). I love you all and thank you for hearing me…"

Stephen Kingsley commented on John Lynn's blog post The Way. It Was.
"Wolfgang,

It's simple. The Bible says "But unto the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever (Hebrews 1:8)." A JCING teacher would of necessity say of this, "But that's not what it means ..." I don't want to do that. I'd rather say…"

"John;

Again bro, you keep knocking down the Trinitarian position, but so what? It's an inferred position, not a purely scriptural one. Then, to make you look even more superior (apparently) you call it polytheistic (a misrepresentation) and knock…"

"Hi Lenore. Remember me? You were in Idaho. Was it Lewiston or Boise? I think you came out here as a W.O.W. I'm a health food fan too, maybe not as fanatical as I should be though. You look like you've hardly aged a day. All my best to you. Steve"

"George,

Point well taken and well said. Sorry. In my postings on this important topic I've tried to acknowledge the positive aspects of my Way (when it was) experience. I know that's what JAL aimed at in his "The Way. It Was." paper--and I agree…"

  • Believing that you have a great birthday on Sunday. I laughed my head off when I read that you listen to Christmas music all year round, I do not do it year round but many times during the year I find myself singing carols and such related music. Glad to know that I am not the only one. God Bless...DB
  • Thanks for adding me as a friend.

  • No, Stephen, but I've done a lot of UNprofessional writing! Thanks for the compliment. Looking forward to getting to know you better.
  • Steve Kingsley! So good to see your face and Paula's. I remember Paula from when she came out to Idaho in 87 with Judy Grider. Tell Paula I said she looks terrific. Hey, you are not too far from Kamiah. Maybe the next time we get out to see the relatives we could catch up with you guys. Also, loved the piece of artwork in your photos. Bless you and yours. Elaine Landmark
  • Stephen, I just read your excellent post (which apparently you edited a number of times.... nice job, I didn't see any typos!) which you posted earlier today. Wonderful perspective, nicely said.
  • Stephen,
Just wanted to say hello and ask how are things up in Craigmont.Everything here in Boise is fine.As you know, anytime you are in our vicinity, the door is always open to you and yours.

  • For the love of a good woman! Actually, he only lived in Idaho for a total of 2 years. His parents had moved there the fall of his junior year, he graduated early and went fire school in CA and then moved back to live with Jack and Laura Sprague for about 4 months, then his WOW/Apprentice year.

His parents still live in Boise. His mom is still in the ministry as is his youngest brother Tim and his wife Trish.

We went to live in Gainesville FL our first year after grad. We decided to move back to Ohio when we decided to start our family. Once Mark got to know my hometown, he decided that he wanted to raise our kids here. It is a very friendly community and my family had the flowershop in town (motto: We marry em and bury em) Now people here in town forget that he is an import.

I remember you mostly from Divine Design, I worked the floral department and we blended into you folks for the fun stuff, like Elf patrol and the graduation and Way Corps Weddings. I loved doing that stuff, though I think I am still trying to catch up on my sleep.

God Bless you, my brother with the sweet smile,
    Love,
    Jacqueline and by proxy, Mark
  • Stephen:
Sorry it has taken so long to respond back to you. Of course I remember you! I have fond memories of the first time we met in the OSC warehouse during ROA 83. I was assigned to work in the sign department that you were overseeing. You taught me how to letter with sign brushes. I guess it paid off because I've had a sign business for about 12 years here in Denver. My website is "royalsigns.com".
I remember that you were in Divine Design one block during your last year in residence. You and Jerry (can't remember his last name) helped build the floral cooler didn't you?
Of course I remember the "Wordlitzer" juke box backdrop that you and Vernon made in about 4 days at Corps Week for the Teen stage. I still have photos of that in my portfolio. I'm gladly taking credit for it.

We have lived in Denver the last 12 years. Three kids...almost grown.

    Good to hear from you.

    Love,
    Brad
  • Dear Stephen,
It appears that God has bless you mightily and as usual, you have found great ways to give back. I am living in Florida, teaching middle school special needs kids, and guitar. Getting my son ready for graduation and then college. Time is whipping past. Travel slowed down a little until I learned about chaperoning mission trips. Watching kids minister, evangelize and works their behinds off because they love God so much and want others to understand it has been a major blessing.
Please give my best to your family.
    Joy
