Ric Cox commented on John Richeson's video
"Gary, you're right.  I had a country band for about 6 years and felt my main job was to keep everyone turning down their amp.  I've never heard anyone tell even the best bands to turn up.  "

"  ROA 84 was my interim year.  I was going to spend it in Bismark, ND as a Twig Area Coordinator.  It was that May in 1985 that Dr. died. Everything began changing until finally, it went to hell in a handbasket when POP was read on the last Corps…"

Ric Cox replied to John Richeson's discussion In Loving Memory of Ted Ferrell
"I am thankful to have observed this great entertainer.  Ted was a soft-hearted man with a huge heart to give. I once sent him an email requesting some songs from Way Productions.  He sent me all the Joyful Noise songs in a CD format.  I called him…"

Ric Cox replied to John Richeson's discussion Closing The Way Corps Site
"I was raised in Corpus Christi.  It's actually the only city named for the body of Christ.  Texas is a great place.  I've lived all over the U.S. and always knew I would come back here.  There's simply something I like about the wide open spaces.…"

Ric Cox replied to John Richeson's discussion Closing The Way Corps Site
"Matt,
I agree with you.  The bond between some of us was like none other.  Recently, I went to Denver to visit my son with a Corps brother that wanted to visit a believer.  It was quite a road trip.  The believer had a car accident and had no car.…"

Ric Cox replied to John Richeson's discussion Closing The Way Corps Site
"John,

I was so hungry when I went in the 10th Corps that nothing else mattered. The bond I had with some of my Corps brothers and sisters at the tem was so much deeper than anything I ever had with my earthly family.  It meant so much to me to be…"

Thanks for posting the exerpts from Ephesians.  What a treasure!  The Adversary sure tried to bury what we learned and divide us.  He almost succeeded.  I'm thankful to still have Corps nights with a Corps brother and an AC grad…"

  • That is a neat story. I hadn't though of your name being a problem, but I guess I can see that it would have been. How many kids do you have? Are they in Texas?

Lloyd and I have two boys, 23 and 20!!! How the years do fly.

    Have a blessed day.

  • Hello Ric. How nice to hear from you and thanks for the compliment. Never know what people think. Thanks for sharing that with me.

I read your profile. Gosh, you have been through a lot. I am glad to know you are doing pretty well. How did you get Rich Cox from Richard Barton? Just curious.

God bless you. Nice to hear from you.

  • If you still need a copy of "Also", I have an extra! E-mail me with your address. BLCollica@comcast.net
  • So I don't look bad for being 60 next year, ha!!!! Yes, that was a VERY intense time and by God's grace and forgiveness I was allowed into The Way Corps! And, I still cherish my time there. Glad to see you're still alive and doing well!
  • HI Ric, Just wanted to say Hi . Have'nt talked to you in a while.

  • You can have my M & M's but not the green ones, they tend to make one randy. Ok, find the joke in that Mr. Barton.

See ya when you come up for air.

  • Hey,
    Miss your IM's. I miss my M&M's I am on a diet.....

  • Compartments! I am seriously going to do this. I have kept a shrink in business for awhile trying to shed some layers of melancholy and you sound like a good teacher. That LEAD trip was indeed a trip. We hiked 35 miles of the John Muir Trail in CA. 2 summers ago. The agony beat out the ecstasy due to highrise blister complexes. Actually my favorite part of the whole Way Corps experience was hitch-hiking. Loved the freedom.
  • Hey Ric--x-celent 2 hear from u. Yor profile is my fav on the whole site (no offense to any of u who think u r funnier), but I loved it. Since yor memory isn't as good as ever, u probably don't remember how gorgeous and brilliant I am (that's Marilyn, of course). Did u ever get that booklet on "Also" yet? We may have it. My short & long term memory went to heck but I have no excuse like you. Frankly I'm dubious about your story. Sounds like a great way to get sponsorship. (har) We have had our struggles too, but we need to find your secret for having way more fun than we seem to be having. By the way, happy belated birthday. Please keep writing. You are funny and a breath of fresh air. And you actually seem fairly smart! Who would have known? Love from Disneyland, Bryce and Marilyn p.s. I just back from a trip or I wud have responded much sooner.
  • All that brain surgery crap is just a front for the fact that you never could remember where you spent your money!
Honestly, good to hear you are still with the living, my friend. I remembered you out of the blue today. Thanks for touching base. Glad to see your alive! I make it to Texas every now and them to see my brother in the valley. Let's stay in touch!
