About Me
I took the Power for Abundant Living class when I was a junior in college at St. Lawrence University. I went W.O.W. in 1978-79 and saw many signs, wonders and miracles. Jim Shaw was the family coordinator. I entered the Way Corps in 1981 and served as a fellowship coordinator in Evansville Indiana from 1984-1987. Fred and Veronica Deats of the family corps were the city coordinators during those years. In 1987 Vanessa and I were married by Reverend Greg English, and we moved to California. Vanessa and I have five children. All five speak in tongues, interpret, and know their sonship rights. We run fellowship from our home once a week and on Sundays.
My Interests
I've been teaching junior high school and high school English for twenty years. I have a Masters of Science in Education with an emphasis on online education. I’ve been teaching one or two online courses for the last seven years.
I hope to produce a biblical research work about the idiomatic and figurative uses of "name" in the Old Testament soon. I'd like to do a companion work for the New as part of a study of the uses of holy spirit in the Old and New Testament.
I’m also interested in screenwriting. I’m interested in telling the story of the later Roman Empire and Constantine the Great in the language of Tolkien’s "Lord of the Rings." I think it would be fun to capture the minds of young people with historic truth disguised as fantasy.
Employment or Career
I've been teaching junior high school and high school English for twenty years.
I've also been writing about the Bible for a number of years. I’ve produced a book about the worship manifestations of the spirit called, “In the Church, Prophecy is = S.I.T. + Interpretation.” I’ve also done a web site that documents a great number of the uses of LORD (as opposed to Lord) in the New Testament. I've listed a couple of the websites with more information below.
Music I Like
I like the old Way Ministry stuff still. I'll listen to jazz a little and to classical.
Books I Like
I read Michael Crichton’s "State of Fear" not long ago. It's a good read and makes a pretty good case for the irresponsibility found among some in the scientific community with regards to climate change.
I've also enjoyed the writings of Reverend Sangat Baines lately. Sangat talks very clearly about how to act on the things we know are very true from the Bible.
Television I like
There is no TV except CSI and its cousins. It's OK once in a while. Actually, "the War" is a pretty cool documentary about WWII.
Movies I like
We all liked Star Wars and LOR. Vanessa and the kids loved Shrek. If you are a fan of Beowulf (Sorry for the geekiness: I teach English -- OK ), you might get a kick out of "The Thirteenth Warrior" which is based on Crichton's "The Eaters of Men." His book was what he imagined might have been the historic sequence of events that, in turn, might have given rise to the great Anglo-Saxon seemingly Christian epic.
Sports Teams I like
I’m a card carrying member of Steeler Nation, and, as first generation Dodger fans, we feel a little sympathy for the Yankess for losing Joe Torre, but not much.

I have some friends that live in Llano, CA. Sometimes they fellowship with the Bergeys in Riverside County. Sometimes the Bergeys com to Rev. Dan Moran's monthly fellowship gathering in Orange County. The next meeting is Sunday February 17th at 10:30 a.m. at the Newland House Barn at 19822 Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach, CA 92648. It would be great if you and your family could come!
Do you have fellowship at your house on regular basis in Lancaster? If not, can you tell me where you do hold fellowships? Thank you.
God Bless!
God bless you.
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I have been out of the country lately and off the internet radar, I was very blessed to hear from you. Congrats on the book, that is fantastic!
I love this website, I'm so glad we can all stay in touch now. (hint hint)
Love and God bless,
January
God bless you. It's nice to hear from you again. Vanessa and I have been away for a couple of days. My siblings gave me (hence us) a 50th birthday deal. We travelled up to a Solvang and hung around in Santa Barbara.
Anyhow, it's been a while. I copyrighted stuff. Then I found a printer than I liked. Then I chose the number of books I wanted to publish and settled on what I could afford. I looked at making this particular book available as a act of abundant sharing, a gift (back) to the Way Corps.
The marketing, when you publish the way I have, is completely up to you as the publisher.
When you submit to a publisher who purchases the rights to your materials (usually for a set time), the marketing burdens are shared.
Oh, I used Adobe Pagemaker 6.0 to set the book up. It was ready to print when I sent it off.
All His best,
Ren
Peace be unto you and your household.
I noticed that you have written a book and I just looked at the website. Coincidentally, I just finished reviewing/editing a manuscript for a book written by a guy who comes to our fellowship--Ken Cohen. Yes, he is Jewish by race/background but got born-again over 20 years ago.
He doesn't know how to go about getting his book published and doesn't have a lot of money at his disposal. Would you be willing to give him some advice on the process. I also recently ready an article in the Nov. issue of Newsweek about digital books and a new devise developed by someone at Amazon, called Kindle (an e-reader devise). They are trying to get publishers to submit books digitally so they can be sold
on Amazon along with the Kindle.
If you think you could help Ken, please let me know and I could give you his email or vice versa. His book will be titled The Infiltration of Error in the Church.
Thanks Ren.

Send me your address via my email and I'll send her some photos.

Thanks for the shout-out. I can relate to your love for teaching, as I also found myself in the middle school and high school classroom, before falling in love with a chemistry professor and moving to Norman, where I eventually wound up as OU English faculty. I'm term faculty, not tenured, seeing as I spent my youth in Ohio and various other spots, rather than finishing an education, and then needed to choose, time-wise, between procreation and further education. Two children later, God blessed me with the job I'd probably have gotten, had I finished the Ph.D., anyway. Life is kind of cool that way, sometimes, and I'm very thankful. So, you have five children! Congratulations. We stopped at four, counting my two stepchildren, and it seems enough for us, particularly since we didn't meet until "later in life." Do you know Chuck Masterson, who was in the 9th Corps, and is now a high school principal in California? He's on this site, with his lovely wife. Happy day to you, Vickie
