  • Hi There, We seem to be in the same boat. Victoria is 24, and has recently moved ot Mumbai, India, following a boyfriend. Bo has one more year in mech engineering; Janelle will be a soph at Clemson. Yes, empty nesting is very nice! Aren't we so very blessed - the grace of God simply astounds me!
Lawrence and I were in Mls, Mn for 4 years after Tulsa - it's a great area. If Leslie needs any believer contacts, let me know.
    Love to all, Barrie
  • Hi Mike,
Great pictures - looks like your daughter got married. You both look wonderful. My love to both of you,
    Barrie
  • Hi Mike & Lisa:
How are you doing with all the rain? The area seems to be getting hit hard with floods. Our house is on high ground so we'll have time to pull the boat out of the garage. I would still like to have you over when you can.
    Love, Charlie
  • Hi Mike!

Great hearing from you! I see you still have that wonderful smile which is what I noticed the most about you while I was in 7th Corps.

Well I guess you read my description and noted that I did the first 2 yrs of the 7th Corps, then later entered the 12 Corps and graduated with the rest of the "dirty dozen!" :)

I spent a year in Columbia, SC after I graduated, then went to HQ where I worked in the Finance Dept. Greg, 12th Corps, was also there in Safety, and ..... then we got married! We have been in Ohio ever since.

It really blessed my heart to see pictures of your family and to know they all are doing well. And of course, your lovely wife, Lisa. She is such a sweetheart!

    Love to you both,
    Christine :)

  • Dear Lisa,

I'm not sure if you remember me (F7 at Rome City so if you were there your first yr for visit, we may have clicked. I'm really writing to let you know how much your music means to me and my family.

When my daughter Elisse, now 23, was born, I insisted on your Paths Leading Home tape (I think it was tape at that time?) being played constantly through my 12.5 hours of hard labor in addition to before and after time. Just hearing the music soothed my soul and blessed me and Elisse tremendously. I forgot to mention that I also played it while she was in embryo:) The midwives that I had fell in love with the music also and I believe some people were extremely delivered, (in addition to Elisse!)

Then, in 2003 I had a very serious event of two unexpected emergency surgeries, in hospital for over 1 month. I insisted on having the same music (then on CD) as well as Emmaus being played. They both were such blessings to me during a very difficult time. I know that music is a wonderful element of healing and I'm so thankful for your music! Please keep up the great work. Do you intend on any more music blessing us soon? I keep you in prayer. If you/Mike visit central PA (would be fantastic), please be sure to let me know as me casa et su casa. God Bless
  • Hi Mike.. the 2010 Games are worldwide championships in EIGHT different disciplines: dressage, show jumping, evening, reining, vaulting, para-equestrian, endurance and driving. They are usually held in Europe. It's a very exciting time here in the Lexington area. I once helped with a therapeutic riding class. I think horses can make a huge difference.. I call Louie my therapist. He's the best therapy I've ever been around!
  • Hey, Mike... what a nice surprise to hear from you. Long time, huh? Life IS good. Been learning so much about God recently and it is so much fun! The pictures of your family are great.
Thanks for getting in touch. It means a lot.
  • I knew you were out there somewhere, I FELT you bro. Do you remember the black guy that I witnessed to on Lightbearers. I'm not sure what he meant by the 'felt it' thing, but it became part of our lingo for the next week or so. He also did that thing where he put his hands up to one of his eyes rolled up kind of like a telescope when he wanted to see something better. That also became part of our routine for a week or so. Just last week or so I was telling someone about that 'wheel warehouse' we worked at for a few days or so. It was kind of bizarre, a big cave sort of thing right in downtown Kansas City. I'm a bit like you, Lisa I really don't get on the computer very much, so I'm trusting that you , Mike, will print or read this to her. It was a great experience to have played in a 'band' with you. I wonder if any one has any recordings of that. Daystar Live.... Let's see, Burn Your Ballast, We Teach to Win, some song that I butchered the lead vocals on, and I remember this real pretty song that Ruth played some nice violin on. Anyway.... lots of old memories. I kind of stumbled on The Way Corps site and haven't really been in touch with very many people from those days. I'll sign off with the last verse from Ephesians which sort of sums up my heart on all these matters...Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.Amen. Take care... Jeff.
