Always good to hear from you.

  • Joy Eastman,

Glad to see you here! I was thinking about you the other day, remember? Joy Eastman, Joy Eastman... at the head table... how many times Michael Fort said your name. Also I remember all the times we prayed together.
God Bless You! Myrna Vega Waldow
  • Hi Joy,
You remember me? I often think of you - always so kind.
    Love, Sarah
  • Hi Joy you are the greatest! Life with 4 children and only dial-up kept me away from this site but the kids are now teens and we have faster internet! yeah!
I love being able to pray for the family of God. Enjoy the day. Diane
  • Hey honey girl!
All I found to do to stay out of the "soup" is allow the Word to dwell richly, and that bs sticks out like a sore thumb, then God gives us knowledge and wisdom to deal with it. It is so almost automatic now because I have been practicing for 4 years, it's almost like it's my thoughts, but we all have that still small voice.

I am so glad the people you are around are godly. God was never and is never bound to any organization. Seems silly to even think that, doesn't it?

Love and kisses but Georgia Bulldogs are gonna chew up them Gators, sorry. It's just the way it is..........I love football season.

    Janis
  • Thanks for the update Joy. I will E-mail you.
    Love you,

  • Hi Joy,
How wonderful to hear from you! Please give Alex a big hug from the Suminskis! The McCrackens moved back to Ohio
last year and are doing great.
Do you still keep in touch with Kael and Babi? What was it like when you went to see them in Africa?
Glad to hear you and Alex are doing well.

    Love you,

  • Joy: I'm finding so many familiar folks here but I don't want to assume you'll remember me. Weren't we at HQ together and you were in Way Pub? If not, then we were somewhere together--where? Anyway, hello old friend.
  • Joy,
Janis Lang said to tell you that she would be happy to coach you in how to post a picture, just let her know!

  • Hi Joy,
I finally figured out how to post pictures a couple of days ago, it took me a while to get the hang of it. Now I need to find a scanner so I can scan the few pictures I have from the old days so I can post them.

Thanks about my job. About 1990, Ohio Dept of Ed, Office of Exceptional Children , and the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities put together a task force to figure out some strategies to help children with challenges to succeed. Long story short, one of the ourcome was to hire parents of childrne with special needs to help other parents to navigate the spec. ed process and to help educators to engage parents in the process. They came up with the idea of Parent Mentors. Since then, Georgia and a couple of other states have copied the idea.
We help to educate, empower and engage parents and build a network between school, home and agencies to support the kids. I love it.

Thanks about the kids, both were identified with Sensory Integration Processing Dysfunction when they were about 3. They have been on IEP's, successfully transitioned to Section 504 plans and now Joanna is a freshman at Urbana University who is getting her accomadations and was just asked to join the Honor Society for underclassmen! Partnership works, but enough of that, I am probably preaching to the choir.

Mark sends his love and I send you mine,
    Jacqueline
