"It's been great to be around Margaret here in Massachusetts the last few years. Very warm and dear, and she would give us some news of you when we asked. Thanks for writing. Let us know if you visit the (now thawing) north!"

"Kris, So I took a look at the blog. I'm reading Charles Swindoll, Grace Awakening, and considering that I fell into the traps addressed in Galatians--some corruption of the pure simple doctrine of grace, folks spying out my liberty and substituting…"

"Thrilled to see you -- love from Gloria as well. We just dropped Juliet off in Boston -- our daughter, 22, grad of Emerson College. We did a play in Fitchburg MA this winter, It's a Wonderful Life. It's a new community, and we got to know a vein of…"

"Kris,
Thought of you this Thanksgiving season as Gloria and I, with Juliet our grown daughter, stopped in Westport CT to see the Freelands. It was a party like one thirty-two years ago when I first met you and when the expectation of a life with God…"

  • Yes indeedy my good friend! Happy Happy Birthday!
  • Happy BIrthday, Robert! many blessings, Karen :)
  • Hi Robert and Gloria! You both were such a blessing to me at Headquarters. I remember narrating a dance show with Bob Winegarner at the church in New Bremen and I mimiced Gloria's professional British accent (or what I thought was British). I love you both, Glenda Sue
  • Dear Robert,
Twenty years have passed and you remain dear to my heart.
You were such an anchor when we worked in Way Pub. Always able to make me laugh and teaching me the way I should go so often. Dancing was fun too. I wrote and heard from Gloria, a bit ago and trying to envision Olivia as anything but the loveliest of girls is a stretch. So glad to know you are well.
I live in Florida with my son, Alex, who is now 18, a senior and preparing for college. I teach middle school kids, discovering that those most challenged are the most driven and rewarding.
    love to the girls.
    Joy
  • Robert,

It's been so many years. I was still expecting to see "punch" in quotes. I remember your loving teaching and tender mercies. Hope all is well.

  • Hi Robert,
Great to see you on this site. We just found it recently and have communicated with so many people who touched our lives like you and Gloria. My mom speaks very fondly of you.
    Take care,

  • Hi Robert, Tea & cookies on Thayer St. and all that! Sure been a long long time. love you! Karen :)
  • Hi, Robert!
Love to Gloria. I just found this site recently and joined today--Dave Snyder referred me. We were colleagues in the NH nonprofit realm for several years before we realized we had a Way Corps connection. Great to see the Chappells and Coxes in your photo. We were in Huntington for a year and met the Coxes then. Don't know if they'd remember. We'll have to get together sometime--I'm often down in Masschusetts. I just took the Fitchburg train the other day to Waltham and thought of you. Long ago you told me about riding the train into Boston. I'll send you mail. Much love!
  • Hey Robert ...give oyr love to Gloria
