  • That's fine John. Glad you like the tune..

(the correct title is "You can count on me")

    Thanks..
  • John,

I went into my profile settings and all the email notification boxes except the very bottom section are checked ... maybe just the act of "re-saving" will reset things. If not, I'll live.

Glad you enjoyed my music... You've got some good tunes here too... I never really knew you and Hope but you seem like very cool people.

    Thanks for the help,
    Janie
  • John:
All the photos I took at Emporia became part of the photo library there....it was the property of the school. Same for when I was the photographer at Int'l...not mine to keep. I've been looking through what I have and the only thing I found was an old photo of me with a couple of cameras hanging off my neck...I think someone took it at PFAL '77. But I'll swear I still had some slides of Gunnison and some people that were there in 1980. Will keep looking.
  • Hey John,

This morning I realized that I'm no longer being notified by email when people post messages on my page. It's really not a huge deal but thought I'd mention it. Maybe others have experienced the same.

Thanks for creating this site. I think it's been good for everyone and I'm impressed with how positive it has remained while still allowing free expression.

    Thanks!
    Janie

Kevin Nye tells me you dumped the fictitious "Ben Taylor" page. What in the world for? My feelings are SO hurt, man (LOL). Just kidding. I still think it would be a fun idea, just to see how many people catch on. He was, after all, the media face of the Way Corps for a while there.

  • Hi John,

thanks for setting up this site. What a wonderful way to reconnect with dear friends. Love to talk stock market with you sometime.

  • John that would be fantastic-but I have not talked to Dale Cain in so many years. We have been on the east coast for about 25 years so have lost touch with so many people. I can't tell you how much this web site has blessed me. Getting back in touch with friends and making new ones here has been fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! God has certainly been working in your heart in a big way. Love you Darla

Thanks for the kind words about my Dad he enjoyed his time working with the Way Builders. Thanks for putting the web page together it is nice to hear from old friends. Say Hi to Hope I remember her from Long Island.

  • Oh yeah....the hard drive. 500GB would in my opinion be the absolute rock bottom for a server. Two of them would be more like it (for approx. 1TB). If you are concerned about data security, 4x 500 GB in a RAID 1 array will give you approx. 1TB with a data backup in the event of a crash.
  • Hey John: I certainly remember the trip from Toronto..good times!
As far as i know, Server 2007 is still in the evaluation stage and has not been released yet. I would certainly recommend duo core for a server...I use a quad core and like it it muchly. You should consider 64-bit over 32-bit and use at least 4GB memory...32-bit will not recognize anything over 3.15GB...which also messes up any dual-channel memory config you might have (meanwhile, some people are reading this and seeing nothing but "Freeble frazzle goombah pixystix poopersnicker rabblesnazzer").
