AND, we googled her and tried to open the Greasespot Cafe site.  It's closed.  Well, butter my butt and call me a bisquit!

"Sound Out '84 was released in tape format.  I may have it, however, it is in someone's garage in Atlanta and I am in California.  Don't ask I have had "helpers' on this since 2006.  DON't ASK.  Let me ask around and see if someone has it."

That was over five years ago. She…"

  • I will call ya later today! good to hear from you.....Blessings!!
  • Janis, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I've been visiting my mom in California and my nephew in Texas. I like hearing the music you have that is playing as I type this. How do you do that? I'm still having a hard time getting music up on my site. As for my page, the background is in the edit section where you can personalize your page -- know what I mean? Wish I were more "creative" -- but now the secret's out! I will write more and update photos soon (I hope!) xxxooo
  • Hi Janis, it is nice to hear from someone close by. I like your page. To answer your question, not much is happening in this area. Paradise has a lot of Adventist here and a lot of churches but I have many people who are really into the word. How did you end up in Anderson? I get up that way for work. i service a couple of Safeway's in Redding. Maybe we can get together sometime. Anderson is not that far away and it is a nice ride! God bless you!

  • Hey Janis.. Yes , I love Drivin Miss Daisy!! It's esp dear knowing the area that it was shot..Just got back from the mts. The kids and I went to be a part of my niece's wedding on Sat. It was beautiful. They got married in a little place called Fleetwood Falls, N>C. I'd never been there. It was definitely not on the way to anywhere..If you go there, you go with a purpose..in the middle of nowhere, but I loved it. Baseball is not over. School ball is wide open. Travel ball starts the first weekend in June and will continue throughout July. We get to go to Marietta , GA for a week long tournament this year! That'll be fun.. Love you.. Vickie
  • I lived in the Phoenix area in the 80's. Then while in residence I was WOW in Boulder CO. Then after graduation, I was WOW near Buffalo NY. Then I got married at Gunnison and came out to Los Angeles for 17+ years. We moved about 3 hours north of Los Angeles 2.5 years ago. That's it! Maybe we met at some function at Doug Seed's or in Los Angeles at Steve Ladieu's (?). I don't remember meeting you although some of the photos have familiar faces in them. Maybe you know my husband Mike as he was in the 16th Corps and was on staff at Gunnison during his interim year.

We have a web site you can check out. It is www.tgocm.org.

I did email Derek but haven't heard back from him.

    Thanks again Janis.

    Grace,
    Kathy
  • Hi,

Forgiven. The first thing I like to bring up is that the concept of the trinity is man-made. The second thing is that no where is "God the Son" in the Bible but there are 46 occurrences of "Son of God."

Then, I watch for their reaction. You can tell early on if they want to argue with you or if they have honest questions.

    Love,
    Susan
  • You have a wonderful page and I do listen to your songs.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Sorry. Up to my as in alligators. Hopefully, another week will free me up. Can you send me an M&M?
  • Hi,

The "enlarging my territory" is about the Pastor asking me to consider teaching the women at church before the service--like an adult Sunday School class.

I'm thinking about it but I feel like I should let him know first that I don't believe in the trinity and although I won't be preaching against it, I won't be embracing it either.

    Love,
    Susan
  • Hey,

Always industrious. That's a good word. Racquel just registered for her Fall classes and will be going to the Bahamas in July. She needs to get a passport.

Dane is good and has been busy taking care of his father's affairs. He getting ready to transition to Assisted Living. He's 87 yrs. old.

I've been very joyful and God has been enlarging my territory.

    Love to you in Christ,
    Susan
