Our Dog Rita

My cancer scare is over and nope I don't have cancer.  But our Rita has heartworms.  She is 5 and a Austrailan Shepherd/cowdog mix, she is a wonderful, happy rescue dog and is a vital part of our family.  As Ron and I cannot bear children, our animals are our children.

 

Rita goes in on Tuesday to have a chest xray and bloodwork.  Whatever the outcome we will fight for her.

 

Thanks for your prayers for the finances, the strength, her strength and endurance.  We know God honors prayers.

    Hello, dear Janis. It is great that you took a rescue dog into your home and hearts.
    Our dog was from a rescue. She was found in the woods in Indiana.
    They estimate she was about 5 or 6 and she had BAD heartworms.

    That was over five years ago. She is moving a little slower, now, but she is healthy and happy.

    I am sorry to hear that Janis. I know that a pet can be very special to a person or a family as you described. I hope and pray that your Rita gets healed. Keep us informed.
