"Very, very nice. I just kept thinking about how those folks remembered their creator when they were young and enjoyed fellowship with Him their entire lives, something very few others have ever enjoyed. They sleep now and we miss them terribly, but…"

You guys look great - and you have a neat-looking pet! How…"

"Happy 90th Birthday, Dorrian Gray. You don't look a day over 30. Dammit.

I just know there's a painting of you hanging in your closet somewhere that is really old. There is no other explanation for your eternal youth.

God Bless you old friend.…"

"Pat,
With all the confusion after the B-52's leveled the place in 1986, I never had the chance to thank you for your friendship and your wisdom. You were one of the few voices shouting from the crowd "The emperor has no clothes!" So - for being a…"

You made me laugh and cry at the same time. Becky was an awfully good friend to me in the Corps. She nursed me back to health at Emporia (which basically meant she kicked my lazy ass out of bed). I've been thinking about the experiences…"

So to speak.

I did it at LEAD and two years later they were still singing it that way in Tinnie. We could have made a great songwriting team: Gilbert & Sullivan, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lennon & McCartney and Youngblood…"

  • Life on the East Side is spectacular ..
I have been here most of my life , growing up north of Detroit, just 2 miles or so, near the cows 'n corn area. Open fields large lakes , no gunshots at night ...that's ALL gone ..
I went into the military , ventured into religion , and now settled here in Ypsilanti .
We meet with folks at a local Restaurant for Christianity 101 on a regular basis ....
Last night I was out looking at a house that has no heat no power but LOTS of H2O on the inside , from broken pipes .....
so I had the pleasure of trying to help another homeowner face a dilemna ...
today I am off to save the galaxy ....
  • Hi Glenn!

    High school picture? HA!
It was actually taken a couple of months ago ... the weekend I found out we have TWO grandchildren are on the way this summer. [Excited... but still trying to wrap my mind around *that* news!]

I guess what's keeping me "young" [snicker] ... is being married to a Hope College graduate. Small world, eh?!?

    Great to 'see' you again!
  • Hi, Glenn!

It's great to hear from you, and very sweet of you to ask about Bob. I'll send you a friend request, and if you accept it, we can send one another private messages.

  • Hi, Glenn,

Thank you so much for all the kind words. It is always good to know that ones walk through life makes a mark on people, even if it is only to bless them regarding hair issues. =)

You look great to have fathered 4 children. =) Well done!

Life is treating me pretty good up here in the north. Due to climate changes we hardly see the winter anymore. A bit sad - a bit glad.
Enjoy easter holidays - I know I will. We have great traditions involving good food, family and friends. Nice!

    Hug from Norway

  • Sure we remeber the Dutch Mafia and"Dutch Jake"
the finest Lumber jack of Michigan .....as described here in this legend ....

Dutch and me had picked out the biggest tree we could find on the forty, and we'd put three days on the cut with our big saw, what was three crosscuts brazed together, making 30 feet of teeth. We was getting along fine on the fourth day when lunchtime comes, and we thought we'd best get to the sunny side to eat. So we grabs our grub and starts around that tree.
'We hadn't gone far when we heard a noise. Blamed if there wasn't Bill Carter and Sailor Jack sawin' at the same tree. It looked like a fight at first, but we compromised, meetin' each other at the heart on the seventh day. They'd hacked her to fall to the north, and we'd hacked her to fall to the south, and there that blamed tree stood for a month or more, clean sawed through, but not knowin' which way to drop 'til a windstorm came along and throwed her over."

Now there's some fierce lumbermen ....
