About Me
Opened a boutique in Wichita in 2010. I'm enjoying life with my wonderful husband, A J Morris, Jr., MBA, Ph.D. I love all the Father's done for me! I'm a walking grace miracle! I still believe Paul's Epistles are written TO us. I also believe that if we "co-mingle" the Old Testament (including Israel's end, i.e., Revelation), we cause Galatians 1:8 and 9 to come to pass and will never see our lives/ministries fullfilled. The Christ-in-us message is the Final Gospel. We don't need anything else. He is in us, taking direction from the Father, to work through us, AS US!
Still tall, average build, and have highlights in my shortened hair. I use a flat iron! What did we ever do without those things? I've been totally happily married for nine years (finally). I never had children, but A J has a boy and two girls from his first marriage. They each have two children, so I'm Grandma Glenda, or "GG" to five boys and our only girl, little Bella Rose!
In 2000, I recorded a Christian CD called "Rescued, Restored, Released." In 2003, I wrote and recorded "N2meUC," a 10-song children's CD that hasn't been released. I am beginning to brainstorm a children's cartoon called "The Clear-Eyes Family." That's just a working title.
I am so blessed by this site. I finally found Howie Yeremian. I heard a voice say, "Pull over and stop." I did! I was sick and heading to the doctors to get healed. Ended up at Howie's and he healed me instantaneously! The Acid Queen of Alameda was floored. I kept crying, "God is Real," "God is Real," "God is Real." I graduated from High School in '69 and went to summer school at HQ. Came back and witnessed to Del and Nancy Duncan. I almost got to minister to Del before he died. We held on to our friendship until all that was left was three fingers--his, mine, and God's. I miss him and Jimmy Doop. I was the first secretary for The Way West. The night I finished typing the articles of incorporation, my MG Midget Convertible ended up in a ravine, headlights smashed out, in the middle of nowhere, the paperwork ruined. The only saving grace was that my horn was stuck. I was six weeks in the hospital and six months in a body cast.
Two months prior to that accident, I was flipped off the side of Rodeo Road in Sausalito, demons pushed me off I swear, I screamed "FATHER!," the '57 Chevy rolled end over end approximatley 14 times (over 360'), I, meanwhile, was suspended in mid-air while the car rolled around my body. I had to stay all night in the canyon and found the road the next day, ran into an angel, and he helped me catch a ride with a man in a station wagon, who was in the diaper delivery service, who took me to the police station. I have more tales, but will stop for now. I came out without a scratch, but I did get a severe case of poison oak.
My Interests
Revelation of Christ within. Writing music. Writing scripts. Singing in tongues and entertaining audiences. Keeping house, decorating. Collecting rocks and feathers. Traveling. Staying in touch with people, writing letters and sending cards for Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries. Photography. Organizing stuff. Health Foods/Cleanses. Good red wine. Throwing big dinner parties.
Employment or Career
Got in the Word in Alameda, California, in 1969 and was diverted from going to Haight/Ashbury and Woodstock. Went to New Knoxville, Ohio, instead. Almost graduated from the 1st Corps (VPW and I had a disagreement), but finished in the 12th (eleven interim years). Worked for The Way International in various capacities until 1987 or so. My greatest joy was getting to meet and know so many people! I love people!
My second greatest joy was finding out I could write. In the early days, after returning from Puerto Rico at the end of ROA '73, I worked with Ted & Mardelle Ferrell. Ted always believed in me, but I looked more like a Las Vegas show act than a Joyful Noise member (Mrs. Owens definitely frowned), but during that time I did come up with the idea for "God Bless, You're The Best," an album of poetry by VPW. I remember one time having a meeting about the album in his office (Ted was with me) I told him that he needed to watch his pronouns when switching from "God" to "JC." The meeting was over in short order. He looked at Ted and said, "Is she talking to me? I've forgotten more about this subject than she'll ever know." I was not allowed to sing harmony with Ted on the next Joyful Noise album. It would be years until I could express myself artistically.
The musical, Holy Spirit High, came to me in a dream and then a vision (in the bathroom). I remember telling Kevin McCave about these visions of people in the Roaring '20s and he said, "Well, maybe you're suppose to write a play." I worked in the Rock of Ages Department at the time and went to Bill Winegarner and asked him if I could write a play for the first HQ ROA in 1978. The rest is history.
The idea of "Portrayals" came out of the confidence I gained from Holy Spirit High. When I told VPW about the idea, he gave me the green light to write the mini-plays for the Advanced Class '79 (would love to get those on DVD). I was on a roll! The next year, I wrote a children's Christmas play called "A Miracle," where I put words to the Nutcracker Suite and had an adorable "Jolly Dolly," played by Sylvia Whiteside, who was NOT very jolly. The characters fail to bring even a smile to this doll, but God has "A Miracle" in store. This half-hour show was performed two years in a row.
I continued my Way writing career with "The High Road" in Gunnison--a musical comedy based on the history of the Gunnison Valley and the Cornwall diary while in residence with the 12th Corps. We had a lot of fun with it, but no video. Just as we were getting ready to video the last run-through, Michael Blatnik told us all to go to bed. I thought, "Where's the love?" Opportunities Pass.
A musical victory was reached when Greg Cole, Jeff Pappas, myself and others won The Way Intl. HQ's Music Challenge with our band called "Tell It." That was 1985-86. It blessed me so much! The last production was co-written with Randal Ash for The Way of Michigan. It was a really funny musical comedy called "In 24 Hours," based on the feat of putting a PFAL class together in 24 hours, and was performed at the Smith Performing Arts Theater in Detroit, March 1986.
After I said "goodbye" to HQ after 18 years, the only home I knew, I worked for Paul Cooper, the Intl. Sales Mgr. at Casad Manufacturing, a water sports company in St. Marys, Ohio. I left there and began a singing career. I did quite well actually. I had 2,000 on my mailing list and recorded three cassettes "Sweet Dreams," a little promotional cassette with some Patsy and Reba, etc, "My Favorite Things," a variety of songs like "Summertime," "Desperado," Georgia," and two originals "Fun Lovin' Woman," and "Nothin' To Say," and the third cassette Ted Ferrell recorded called "Glenda Sue Sings Patsy Cline", which is self-explanatory.
After Ohio, I moved to Arkansas to be with my family. I performed nightly at the Arkansas State Fair for seven years in a row ('93 - '99). Met my A J July 26, 1999, and was married in Dan Stockemer's home in Wichita that Thanksgiving. Dan opened the door for us to buy an existing home and auto insurance agency in Wichita. The original plan of being partners with Dan didn't work out, as it wasn't allow by Allstate. He received the referral fee for finding us, but hard feelings arose, as we were not willing to put a "side deal" together. Unfortunately we lost a friend and a brother. Someone told me that the word "business" has the word "sin" right in the middle of it. It's just like sex, alcohol, and drugs--there's a right way to use them and a wrong way--it's all a part of life's tests. Which reminds me, I've written a class for pre-puberty girls called "SADISFY," which stands for "Sex, Alcohol & Drugs: Informative Statistics For You." I only got to teach it twice.
I have traveled (not enough), enjoyed myself (way too much :), and worked hard all my lifetime (yes, Janis told us right). Had the experience of working at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the Dept. of Neurosurgery for two years, and owned EnviroHealth, Inc. (sold Alpine air & water purifiers and the Chi & HotHouse machines).
A J and I sold our Allstate Insurance agency after being named "Agency of the Year & Most Profitable" for the State of Kansas. There's a story here, but I've yakked enough. Life's had a variety of blessings and there's more to come!
Music I Like
This may sound funny, but during the day I have light classical playing, but actually enjoy country music on CMT. When I'm in the car, we're usually listening to talk radio. I like oldies, too. I guess I really like it all. Howie says that my CD sounds like I've been in church too long. Ha!
Books I Like
I read mostly the Bible and related books, but I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to reading. I'm working on it. I do read articles.
Television I like
Any true documentary or biography. Fox News and the Weather Channel. We have a Fine Living channel on cable I enjoy. Sometimes I like Mystery Diagnosis. I don't watch much television.
Movies I like
I'll watch the big productions like "The Godfather," or "Texas," etc. Most movies are too foul-mouthed to be enjoyed.
Sports Teams I like
Interestingly, I never got into sports, even though I was a pom-pom girl! I think figure skating and gymnastics are neat.

Seems to me that throughout our many adventures, the common thread has been the glorious pursuit of more of Him. Sometimes we did foolish and wrong-headed things, but He always kept us pointed in His direction, and He makes it all work together for good.
And part of the fun is re-connecting with beloved fellow-travelers. Bless you, Glenda Sue!
