About Me
Married Linda Smith (13th Corps) in 1987, Three boys: (Josiah (989), Cody (1990), Samuel (1993)) and one needy boxer, Holly. We Live one town over from where I grew up. Cody is an Army Captain at Walter Reed in Bethesda, MD as a Nurse Anesthetist, Sam is an E6 with the DOD assigned to the VT Nat Guard and is employed as a Chief Security Officer for a Raytheon plant in Maine. Josiah is a free spirit who loves the Lord plays a mean guitar and is a licensed optician. I was a partner in a Window Cleaning business with Arne Yaghsizian (WC14)until Arne recently went to be wih the Lord (March 2012). Now I carry on the tradition of excellence by myself.
Linda has become a Respiratory Therapist. She worked hard for two + years in accomplishing this, all while working part-time and managing the household. You gotta love her. The Lord has given her much grace in this area. She now has a job at the hospital where she was a medical secretary and is very excited about this new place in her life.
David earned a AS in Computer Information Systems in 2011 and graduated at the top of the class in the large Community College maintaining a 4.0/4.0 average throughout the course study. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa as works part-time for himself producing websites and assisting residential customers with their home computing needs.
Since being married in '87 we have lived in Orlando & Hollywood, FL, Buffalo, NY Area and then to CT where we have been for 30 years.
David has been on numerous mission trips over the years to Romania, Israel, Kenya, and Haiti where we have assisted the locals in building schools, churches & children's homes. This besides seeing many miracles and healings while ministering the Gospel. The Kenyans have said they would build a home for us to retire in if we choose. Not a bad place to put down some roots.
This in 2010 year Linda went to Uganda with a medical missions team, it was a fantastic time and the team saw a 1,000 people in 5 days. She has also been to Haiti with our middle son, Cody and I.

David & Linda what a blessing to hear from you and see your pic. Oh come on - we all look the same- yeah. Oh yeah - Bass Pro - never been there, but my kids are frequenters there and Cabelas - somehow all my kids love to fish and camp. Did I help you David that block?? My head was not screwed on all too tight so if I did - thanks for saying so - we were all pretty young and goofy. But here we are, praise God! I just got on this site this morning, so I'm gonna try and put some pictures up soon.
Love ya - Les
It was great to see you both again and to have the chance to hang out with you, the Liberating Partners , and the teens. Saturday was great. Dale and Vicki did a session Saturday morning on marriage. We had couples there that had been married from 3 years to 43 years. There was a wealth ofexperience in that room. It was a very touching time for us all. Saturday evening we all met back out at the Ark with the teens. We had some great worship led by Grace Daniel with a troop of guitar players behind her (mostly Eric Keyte) and then the teens did their skits that they had been working on. They were very imaginative and extremely funny! People had cameras there, I hope someone videoed the skits.
There is indeed a connection between Vegemite and being like a kookaburra: we may describe someone as being a "Happy little Vegemite" (see words to Vegemite song under photo of Vegemite icon.) Happy people often laugh... hence the Kookaburra. I like Vegemite and Kookaburras are funny.
Love, Sarah
What a lot of fun this is! Thanks for sending me a message. It's great to find out about all the interesting things you are doing. I love being back in Brisbane again - I love the sunshine and the gum trees and the laughing kookaburras -even the noisy old crows make me chuckle. It would an absolutely most awesome treat of mega-bonus proportions if you were to visit this part of the world!!! Just let me know your arrival time at the Brisbane International Airport and I'll meet you there.
I'm glad to hear about your work in Kenya and Uganda (they are the places of my childhood where I remember being very happy). Seems like you get to help a lot of people to live a better life - just exactly what you were doing when I last saw you. Good on you! I look forward to finding out more...
Have an excellent day. Lots of love,
Sarah
Ted and I just back from sunny Tinnie, NM. We were travelling through the area and decided to stop. One of the old gas stations is now an antique store and we stopped in to have a look. We took pictures of Mt. Cap. and the others. It sure did take us down memory lane. I thought of you both while we were there.
Have a great day rejoicing in God's goodness.
