Craig Crisera commented on Ken & Sue Brown's blog post No More Conscience of Sins
"Ken - I did not say that forgiveness is dependent upon trying to remember our sins, I said that we should endeavor not to sin. There was a slogan that people were using during my last year in residence that disturbed me greatly. It went, "It is…"

Craig Crisera commented on Ken & Sue Brown's blog post No More Conscience of Sins
"Love is a much better motivator than fear, and it is no minister's job to try and regulate anybody's flesh. But I think we sometimes label people legalistic simply because they teach the same thing Paul teaches a little further down in Romans 6. "…"

  • Guess I did see this before tonight! God bless. Ken
  • Fancy meeting you here! I finally signed up and am enjoying a perusal of memory lane (with prayer.) God bless. Ken
  • Everything is groovy. It was nice meeting you as well. The smile and expression on your dad's face when he saw you that Christmas will be in my heart forever. A true "kodak" moment. Hope your mom is doing ok. Take care and God bless you too.
  • Great news, my brother. Look forward to being able to communicate more!
Have fun storming the castle, boys!
  • Hello Craig! How have you been? It has been a while since we talked. We are breaking into spring (somewhat early for up here, but everyone is keyed up and hoping), so gardening is starting to go to the forefront of everyone's mind. Hope you are well and that that pin prick of light at the end of the tunnel has been getting a lot bigger lately. P
  • Hi Craig,
Love seeing what you've been up to. Mark says Hi too,
    Love, Jacqueline
  • Hey sorry about yesterday. I had some time at work, so I thought I'd call you--I was waiting for a Mandarin language program to dwonload to my computer, and could not do anything else, and that number waas toll free...
I couldn't call later that afternoon because last night was Chinese New Year's eve and we were having a big celebration at my house. Hsuan-hui was so excited about it, and it is such a huge deal in Asia, that we were working hard at making it special. I cooked a bunch of stuff that was traditional, but that I had never had, mostly had never seen and definitely had never cooked, being prompted by a 16 year old that knew snippets about what should be in the meal, but had no idea as to how to do it (being unable to cook more than water and tea), and a couple of poorly translated cookbooks from Taiwan. It all turned out great, but it occupied all of my attention from the time I got home at about 3pm until everyone left at 1130. I'll try to call you tonight if I can get free. I have to put away all the chinese dishes and pots, which should take a bit of time... We kind of went all out.
    Gong-shi! Gong-shi!
It means "congratulations" or "we made it" and is said on and after Chinese New Years Day, which is today. The celebration lasts for 15 days.
    Paul
  • Great - I was a little concerned that I had not heard from you for a while. You let me know when yuo want to come up - you will be welcome to keep us as your base of operations. I might suggest that you fly up instead of take a cruise - they are beautiful and all, but there is not a huge amount of free time to explore the land and we have an incredible amount to explore. You should send me your ph on the email side of this and I'll give you a call. I'll send you mine as well.
  • ???? Still on the list...
  • OK, my brother - at the top of the list. You should think about recuperating in AK!! Cold air leaves few germs, and we have classis movies and vintage CDs that have beenknown to spark an interest in southern transplants!
