  • Paul, I figured you'd end up on the west coast. We just came back from NY where I was told about this site. Lisa was a little hesitant also about signing up, but talked her into it. Love the Kids. Rick Roy sent me a picture of the two of us cooking hamburgs at gunnision. Will get those pictures up soon. Give love to Bonnie and Ellie.

  • Paul,
Great to hear from you. Time passes quickly. There are many who I think of often and this is a great way to reconnect. We have settled here in Nashua (17 years). I am not the greatest at this e-mail stuff because I work on the computer all day long and by the time I get home I've had enough. Perhaps this venue will change my attitude. Been married 20 years now to Alice. We have two kids - Shea (14) and David (8). I'm an architect . Great to know you are enjoying life up there in Alaska. The pictures of you and yours are great. I hit 50 last August. One of the things that matters to me as I enter the next half century is to enjoy finding folks that I've known and care about. This is a start. All the best and there will more to come.
    Robert
  • That light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. I am thankful to say that I am writing this from my own computer in my own home! Thanks for your prayers. I should be much more faithful to visit this site and keep in touch from this point forward. I also have a new e-mail address I can be reached at - ccrisera@elp.rr.com Talk to you soon.
  • Do you and Bonnie still have that toyota that dropped rust when you slammed the door? I thought of you guys so often over the years...You look great and sound like you are totally enjoying the life God gave us to live...Someday I might make it to Alaska was always a dream of mine but for now I'm settling for Into the Wild...I'm sure that movie makes you quiver but hey I'm down here in the lower forty...God bless you both...Ann (hucke) Woodger...
  • summer sounds fun!! well because of you I have a new goal - i used to want to move to Alaska...guess northern exposure had my attention...but now i have added a summer in Alaska to my someday goals. this is a very good thing, to want new future goals. with all the coffee addicts I'll fit right in. enjoy the light :)
  • Howdy Paul,

It's was great to hear from you. It's pretty wild to have spent the year with you and Richard in a double wide in the corn fields of Ohio.. Did we have any other roomates other than Kathi or Allison? I remember you reading books late at nite and then get up the next morning and functioning in a civil manner. Many times in life it takes years to appreciate the ones that God has put in our paths. It's good to see your smiling face and ....you still have your hair....isn't God good.

    God Bless You Brother
  • Thanks so much, you are right. I just hit the "angry at the dead person" stage. I was angry on & off before at other things - his boss for putting him in that career position, people who mistreated him in life, but not at him. I know it's all part of the process but yes it feels bad to be mad at him for dying, he hated it when I thought he made bad decisions, etc. ALL the stages still cycle around; confusion, deprn, apathy, shock, barganing, all of it, just more slowly and the gutwrentching part is 98.5% over. If I'm tired or stressed it's worse but I do see it will get better. This is not such a good day and yet it's way more bearable that 2 months ago.
Overall, logically there's lots to be thankful for and I mentally am thankful. My heart is pissed off, not that I was abandoned (yet anyway) but for the bad decisions that got him killed. Oh well, that's part of it. I can see that part of this is getting to acceptance and I can see that phase just 'ore the horizon.
I like to "dance"; joy returns. They say people return to their "set" happines level...that should work out well for me :)
