  • Hi Paul: You look the same!! Claire told me that she has been in touch with you in the last years. She came to Tucson to a Women's Conference with me in July. She is gorgeous as always and so faithful. It is a blessing to hear from you. God bless you dear Paul.
    Love,
    Joanie
  • Dear Paul,

Sorry it's taken so long for me to get back with you! How wonderful to hear from you too! It looks like you have made a beautiful live together with Bonnie. And who would have thought you would land in Alaska! Good for you! It's a place I have always wanted to see. I'm sure you see many wonders all about you!

As for memories; I have tender recollections of your humor, thoughtfulness, depth, and ability to roll with the punches. I'm certain these things have remained constant along with your radiant smile.

All my best to you, Bonnie, and Renata!

    Xristin
  • Hi. It's mountain time where I'm at, which means it's one hour later than California. I guess that means it's two hours later here than where you're at. I wonder what time it is in Florin and Guilder. I think there's a time zone change at the cliffs of insanity.
  • Okay! Looking for you, and send me your cell phone # one more time, for good measure. I think we could have a fine time of it!

    Kevin
  • Paulie: hi smoochy! Yes, we are way overdue for an Anchorage visit, but now would not be my first weather choice! Thanks for putting the great pix on your page. You look very handsome. Give Bonnie a big smooch and Renata, and tell my gimpy pal Chris that I'll talk to her soon. Have a great Thanksgiving and remember to keep praying for Felix. Love you. Connie
  • Hi again. I noticed that all your messages to me show up in the wee hours of the morning my time. How many time zones away are you? Also thought I'd send you the address for this website I found. http://www.cafepress.com/princessbride
Stay safe (inside the fire swamp)
  • Hi, Paul. You might not remember me, but I used to work with Bonnie in Way Pub. Please give her my love and tell her she looks fabulous!
  • Hey! Not sure what happened with the group thing but I believe I fixed it now. I haven't even been on here since last Sunday. I was traveling in the hills of Kentucky all last week and got home late Thursday night then left early Friday AM to go to Huntington to spend the weekend with friends and go to the Marshall Football Game.
  • Sorry I took so long to respond. I was mostly dead over the weekend. Actually the truth is that I don't have a computer at home right now. (A situation I hope to resolve soon.) It's okay that you don't like licorice, chocolate is good too - especially when you need to swallow a miracle pill! How about calamari? That's another favorite of mine - especially when it's caught fresh by local fishermen out for pleasure cruises in the middle of the night in eel infested waters. If you don't like calamari I'll have to move away from the food category. Maybe clothing - do you like holocaust cloaks?
  • Paul, hope I didn't unfairly besmirch the good people of Alaska. We were not in the military — my dad was principal of the high school — and we didn't live in a villlage, we lived in the city of Kodiak.

For whatever reason, I was subjected to all kinds of verbal harassment, physical bullying and stupid stuff like a kid on a motorcycle roaring up behind me and speeding past me with inches to spare. One kid would see me coming down the hall and slam into me with his shoulder, then yell at me to watch where I was going.

This same kid once slammed into me for no reason during a whiffleball game, and I punched him right in the face. He tried to retaliate with a flurry of blows but none of them landed, and then he walked away. Never bothered me again. Wait, I take that back, he once threw rocks at me while I was trying to deliver newspapers.

There were two other kids I had to fight or challenge to fight before they left me alone. And there were other kids who liked to push me around but were way too big to fight.

One time two high school kids picked me up hitchhiking, recognizing me as the son of their principal. The guy in the passenger's seat, who was sharpening a big hunting knife, told me I could tell my dad that they think he's a real a******. I guess it takes one to know one.

OK, now I'm fillling up your page with my repressed memories! Feel free to delete this to free up some space. Long story short, I'm sure there are mean 8th graders everywhere, and I'm sure Alaska is full of friendly, kind, neighborly people.

I did learn a valuable lesson — when people push you around, push back. Jesus did say turn the other cheek, but he also said sell your shirt and get a sword.

On another note, I would love to see your bonsai trees.

    Take care, Karl
