  • Hi,

I haven't been on here in a long time either. Are you stil in Payson? Is your Mom still alive? Just wondering. Lauren could have scholarshipped in volleyball at Culver Stockton. We can see the school from our house- so no way for her! I think she is going to a division1 school- UNI in Iowa. She does not have enough experience to play vb at a division 1 school.

  • Man, you got even me stumped. I do not see "Post A Link" either on your page or mine. But I have seen people do this before. Where exactly is that feature? Are you talking about the tab next to videos called "Links" where we post links to people's businesses and such?
  • Yes, I agree! :-)
That religion link is funny - please put it in the humour blog!
    Sarah
  • Bill - where did you post that link? I can't find it. I can only find it in latest activity. Is there a section I am missing?
    It's this one here:
    http://www.holytaco.com/flowchart-determine-what-religion-you-shoul...

It is very funny. I suggest you post it in a blog.
  • Bill, the religion flow chart should go on Sarah's "laugh" blog. It's so funny (and true I might add :-)
  • Good morning, Bill!

Yes, the global warming puzzle is an interesting one indeed - especially in light of how it is presented in schools...but you wouldn't want me to get up on that little soap box - I don't know if there's enough space on the comment box and I might get a bit scary!

One of the main reasons that I homeschool is so that I can encourage my boys to examine information and ideas carefully before accepting them as "truth", and/or "conclusive" scientific evidence. I recently read Animal Farm to them both. It continues to provide a platform for discussion of all sorts of issues in life.

I am glad you like listening to the music on my page. I have fun putting songs up.

Enjoy your day - mostly cloudy and cool (?) :-)

    Sarah

PS I liked that link you posted about the way to select a religion - good for a laugh!
  • Hi Bill,
I wonder which "denominations" of the PC "religion" you debate...and which books on my list you think you'd read...
    Do you like to read?
    Sarah
  • Hi Bill,
These photos of your farm are beautiful! You could make a calendar. Autumn colours like this are not seen in my town at any time of the year. Right now the Jacarandas are in bloom - bright purple flowers. :-)

  • Hi Bill,

Homeschool is wonderful! We really love it. :) Tomorrow is our weekly fellowship at a local gym - the girls can't wait, me too. Groups are great for support and information. If your nephew doesn't have one, he can call the state homeschool organization or hslda.org.

Temple was very interesting! We sang a lot and we picked up the melodies easily. You can dance there, it was nice. They had a replica of the Ark of the Covenant and opened it in prayer at one point. The most significant thing to me was the lamp of fire. It hung from the ceiling over the congregration. It was shaped like lamps from old testament times, a bowl that is pinched on one side.

We had challah and wine and kiddush afterwards, the dinner together. There was about 200 people. At one point all the high schoolers gathered together for line dancing, circles within circles. There was an amazing amount of joy amongst the people.

All in all, a great blessing. Someone there said they weren't Jewish and we warned them not to speak too quickly! ;)

It sure gives new meaning to Jesus being sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel... my family hasn't kept up with the law for centuries maybe... I am glad he has forgiven me for that!

It is warming here, finally. The weather has been 29 and under for too long, but that is probably nothing to you! Yesterday was amazing at 45. We were hankering to go fishing! Soon enough I suppose.

Do you plant anything out there? We have a small garden patch in the backyard. Just enough tomatos for the summer, and too many cucumbers! I also have lavender, rhubarb, raspberries and peppermint with my flowers round about. Our townhouse yard is quite small but very functional! love, K.
  • Hey Bill, how is January over there?! love, k. :)
