He who seeks to understand commandments without fulfilling commandments, and to acquire such understanding through learning and reading, is like a man who takes shadows for truth. For the understanding of truth is given to those who have become participants in truth, who have tasted it through living. Those who are not participants in truth and are not initiated therein, when they seek this understanding, draw from it a distorted wisdom.

Merry Christmas, thanks for the note ... we seem to be getting our white Christmas now, 3-5" worth today.
Yeah, maybe I should do a blog somewhere .... perhaps I'll get the inspiration one day. "All things inconsiderate" ha ... I'll have to work on a better name.
Be safe if you do a "Ho Ho Relo" heh
Yes, that photo was an amazing capture, as those are, in fact, a pair of Amazing Sea Monkeys - from Mars!! Cleverly disguised as their distant cousins, "squid", no less! I was shocked to see them "in captivity" but not to worry, they assured me that they can leave at any time, they're simply doing research. Truly an act of love, and as always, amazing!!!!

I also enjoy your posts.
I can personally identify with the "separation from your brethren" statement. I probably alienated a number wonderful brothers/sisters in Christ in my earlier years...over this topic matter.
Boston Whaler eh? Sounds great! Boats are fun, man. I'm so glad you are doing that, it will be enjoyable.
The wife and I, and a neighbor and his wife, and his son's wife, will be each, more than likely, putting in at Lake Eufaulla (Columbus, GA/Phenix City, AL area) and making the river trip down to the Gulf of Mexico...and out into the Gulf of Mexico....and docking at a rental home with a dock....for a few days.
We've been taking the boat down to Tybee Island, GA and boating/fishing in the Atlantic, as well as in the rivers nearby. What fun that has been!
I would be interested in knowing what all you are doing with the Whaler. My dream boat is the WorldCat 320EC....but that might be a few years down the road....hopefully before I am 80. I am yet to own a center-console type fishing boat. I want one though. I have looked at the Boston Whalers....very nice!
I think it would be great meeting you, brother!
I'll be in Philadelphia on business, June 15-18, but that is a long distance from Harrisburg. However, if you ever are gong to visit the Atlanta, GA area, please let me know, and I will try to be in the area when you visit....for I travel a lot.
Keep me updated on the Whaler ok? How about some photos...?
ps...what a beautiful family with which you are blessed.
Bless you brother!
George
I appreciate your feedback...as well as your ability to articulate your thoughts.
I invite dialogue with you anytime.

Happy holidays and love to your family.
Be thinking about that slide show. I think I may know a way to download every picture on this site with a program. Might be good to pull from this site along with captions of who is who and what is what. It might be a long slideshow! Or we could have two or three to show at different times.
Thank you for your thoughts on John Lynn's "The Way. It was." blog. You're right, it would be great if JAL were willing to engage. He has staked his ground and will not be moved. I think that's why we have to be so careful in the conclusions we make. They easily turn into vows which we feel we have to defend to the death.
You write very well. Have you ever done so professionally?
All my best. Stephen
