Dr.Rawlings was such a great women of God. I loved listening to her stories of "the early days".We got married in her house. 1 sexy woman that sure loved God
Dr. Rawlins delivered my first daughter, Katie Margene McDonald, on July 27th, 1983. We spent the night before with her at her home. She said we would probably be back in the morning anyway. She was right! As I recall she had a cat named Katie... she joked that we were naming our daughter after her cat. What a wonderful woman she was, and what an accomplished Obstetrician.
When Doc used to come visit Mrs. Wierwille, we had a special room for her to stay in and i would always get her these special sugar free candies from the health food store. When she would arrive, I would sit and rub her feet while she ate her candies and she would tell me stories... that was the deal!... She always had the best stories. I miss her.
I remember her well from my Indy days, before the corps and during my apprentice year. I have as much remembrance, also from those days, of Craig, with whom I spent a bunch of time, and had some good talks. Not long after I started the 8th corps at Emporia, I was shocked to hear of Craig's death, apparently in an auto accident. The following ROA (1978), Carolyn was still full of smiles, and insisted on buying me dinner a couple of times so I could save on my corps "money".
