Heard from Paul yet?
Stay in touch.
What a blessing to hear from you. Thanks so much for the kind words. I appreciate your thoughtful expression. I have such fond memories of those early days back in Maryland and DC. Life was fresh and green for me, the springtime of life it seems. I have heard from a number of "Marylanders" since signing on to this wonderful Way Corps website. Indeed, it has been a place to reconnect. I've heard from Stretch Moore (formerly of Baltimore). In fact, he was the first person who sent me a comment after I signed on. I've heard from Jeff Johnson, Darlene Allinder (Schulz); Mark Jones; and others whom I can't recall at the moment. Your comments brought to mind warm memories. As I am waxing sentimental at this moment, I recall the lyrics to the September
Song from the Fantasticks:
Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
How well I remember. Thanks for memories, and on that "Hope-ful" note I'll close. It was joy to hear from you, my brother.
Still serving the Lord, after all these years.
