Tim so sad about Beth."
Dear Tim, God Bless, great to see you smiling face! This has been a lot of fun seeing people I haven't seen in years! We are in Jacksonville, Fl. Drop a line when you can, LOL, JJKish
My pleasure, Tim. I am my old self, older self really. The vessel continues to show no signs of giving up despite opposition from all sides. My hair says it all - most of them have moved together to the flanks where they huddle together en masse, the better to resist the constant attacks. Small units of battle hardy brave souls fight to maintain control of the heartland's top soil, and against seemingly impossible odds continue to make a good showing while whittling away at the enemy, a strand at a time. Hoorah! to those gallant soldiers! May their fallen comrades be remembered for their valiant bravery and having fought to the end with dignity, their honor! They have not gone into that dark night to be forgotten!
Timmy Time - just noticed when you post on here the banner reads "Please enter something for your comment". Why's that funny to me? Right above it reads "there has been an error". Not sure what that means. Anyhooo...
You'll be surprised to know that I remember several conversations we had way back when in Florida, pivotal moments for me, really. I still retell them, and in fact they're storeez my kids have now heard several times and when I start telling one - again - they settle back and listen politely. They're good kids and in fact they've garnered a tad of wisdom from them.
You may not remember but it was around Christmas of 83, I think, and we were working selling those timeshare coupons to businesses - remember that? 15 bucks a pop in commission for every display put up and something or other for every coupon that showed up for a tour at the timeshare condo-world. You got me in on the job and we sat through a whole day of "training" with the guy running the marketing program. He laid out a whole complex array of ways to identify people's traits, selling and closing techniques, all stuff we'd learned to some degree in the Way Corps and practiced regularly like the good li'l Wayfers we were.
Then we were driving back home at the end of the day and I asked you about how you worked, as you'd been "selling" those babies like biscuits at a bar-b-q. And you laughed and said something about how the guy meant well but that was way too complicated. And you said "We're not SELLING anything, we're GIVING something away. If you SELL they'll get freaked out and defensive. Here's how I do it...."
And you leaned over and said "I just go in and act like 'I'm nobody, and this is nothing. It's no big deal. Don't be afraid of me, just listen for a minute..."
I swear in that moment, in your old beat up Rambler was it? and in the middle of what was a very pivotal time for me, that was incredibly refreshing and reminded me of something Jesus might have said to someone. Don't be afraid, I'm not here to do anything but help...
Hi Tim - I'll catch up with you, would love to talk. Saw John and Hope a few months ago when they visited and had a wonderful time, really meant a lot to see them. They mentioned you might be relocating to the Left Coast sometime - did we get that right? Southern Cal?
Hey Tim. How's it going? Love from Janet and I, we're out in Northern California, about a 1/2 hour from the coast. Love ya! Saw the Richeson's a few months back when they were out this way - wonderful seeing them. Trust all is well, all our best to you!

I know you were there and are quoted in the article I believe. Your Dad was one of the one who liked the whole thing it appears.
You guys were very Groovy indeed. Who else might have been there in those pictures?
