Tim so sad about Beth."
Hi Tim, good to see you're not taking things too seriously. I've been enjoying writing to Charlene and realizing we're reading and thinking along the same lines. I'm still good friends with Steve Gilbert and happily married to Vicki and have 3 great kids. You're one of a kind. Your pal,Tom
Awe Tim, I love you so much! You are now smooth as vanilla chocolate on the outside and still nutty on the inside! So you're going to sunny California? Is your work taking you there? What do you do anyway? I'm thinking about going back to work. Sure is great to see your happy face again! xoxo I love you! Glenda Sue
Hey Tim----Nice to see you here. I was with you in the Corps and I remember the play you directed at HQ in the barn and we worked really hard rehearsing. I landed the role of the drug attic. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for your leadership and the 2nd Corps pic is special-----Regards---Phil Dean
Bless my soul and my heart and my liver. What a joy to see your smiling face. If it ain't the Bishop himself? "Gwone wid your good-looking bald-headed self." I like the new look. Indeed, I've been sporting the "Mr. Clean look" (sans earring) for several years.
I just returned from a two-week short term mission experience in Los Cabos, Mexico. I worked at a bilingual school as well as with a local missions group who work in the barrios. I was amazed by the extreme contrasts between the super rich and the poorest of the poor. I spent my 66th birthday there, and as is my custom for the past several years, I wrote a poem to celebrate my birthday. Below is a copy. Do you still write? Poetry? Plays? and such stuff?
This website has been a blast of a blessing. I've reconnected with so many people whose lives have touched me in wonderful ways. I've heard from a number of 2nd Corps, including Randy Feese, whom I've talked with a couple of times prior to leaving for Mexico. He's not too keen on computers, but we've talked. I visited with Brian Heaney a few years ago when he was in Columbus for a meeting in conjunction with his job as professor of English at a college in Springfield. I corresponded with Elizabeth (Beth) Lowder before she passed, and I posted a tribute to Barry Jones from a friend of Barry and Carol. Through Duke I learned that Cathi had survived a bout with breast cancer ("Old Man Crab"--the term I use for cancer in a book I published called WATCH, FIGHT & PRAY: MY PERSONAL THREE-FOLD STRATEGY TO COMBAT PROSTATE CANCER). Randy read the book and commented that the principles I share can be applied to any negative situation, not just specifically to prostate cancer which he does not have. Check out my Corps page or order the book through Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble or any bookstore for that matter.
Now that we've reconnected let's keep in touch. Got to go for now.
Best regards,
Lonnell

In celebration of my 66th birthday

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest,
and cold and heat, and summer and winter,
and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22
My life unfolds in beauty as a tapestry
Of the multifaceted splendor of God’s wisdom.
I press toward the mark, striving toward my destiny,
To embrace my role as citizen of God’s Kingdom.
I desire to live to give, not less but even more,
As I walk by faith and boldly stand in His grace
To fulfill my calling as Christ’s ambassador.
The hand of God has surely led me to this place.
Like Caleb I taste the fruit of the Promised Land
And receive of the fullness that I might impart
Blessings in abundance that stream from God’s right hand,
As songs of grateful praise overflow from my heart.
God provides full return on all that I invest
In this present season of seedtime and harvest.

Tim, read that blog, man, on my page for an explanation about Stewart. We really DID get to meet him at Tampa Performing Artc Center at a sold out house.
Our teenagers liked him more than we did! He was funny. And very smart.
Hi Tim:
Good to see you again. Your smile is unforgetable. Hope you are well, you sure have been able to stay thin. Sure have great memories of our time together in the Corps, that is when I didn't want to pound you. Being my elder Corps I thought I might get into trouble. Love to see you sometime.
Love YA, Charlie

Just wanted to say hello and tell you that I'm thankful for your life and the impact you had on me oh so many years ago.
