"Hi Randy, Its wonderful to have a site like this, our Corps time was very surreal, and over the top. I experienced such amazing things, and met some very special people, its time for a reunion, Boise, 2012, you in?"
"Karin,
I hope you haven’t changed too much, because you were a breath of fresh air. Your vivaciousness, wit, and honest straight forward personality were what I remember about you. And a great big heart. We were unlikely room mates, but we did love…"
"Hi Karin,
So wonderful to hear from you.
I recently found and read a poem you wrote for me when we were room mates at Emporia. I should find it and read it to you. You were so sweet, and I am happy to hear from you.
Syndi"

"Elizabeth,
Hello my friend. Its been over 20 years since we graduated, how thankful I am to know you are well, and have a wonderful family. I saw your picture, did you take it, did you win something for it, tell me more. And where was the boy on the…"

Hi Syndi,
No, the Cape Coast picture was never entered in any contest. That place is beautiful and so somber. The boy was a village kid. He intrigued me because he was wearing a knit glove (like the ones you can buy at the dollar store). The glove was held on by a rubber band. It reminding me of shucking oysters.
How is life?
I am ready for spring!

Syndi,
I've forgotten that poem! If you find it, could you sent it to me on a private message? Those years inresidence were really something, but I'm happy to say that I'm not the person I was then thanks to the grace and mercy of God. I like this site because while I really don't spend much time thinking about the past, I do wonder about the people who were in it. We were such a big part of each others' lives inresidence, weren't we?
Karin
Dear Syndi It’s so great to hear from you. Sorry I did not respond sooner, we were up north at the lake spending lots of quality time with family and friends. Then I took my daughters to visit my cousin in veice Florida. We had a blast! swimming and body surfing in the ocean .which I had not been to in 15 years so it was a real treat! I read your page sounds like you are doing well and enjoying your career. Interesting about Steinberg wonder where we could start looking for him? Any way, yes Bill still loves Gods word. Teaches when ever we have our family meetings. We ran a fellowship here in Minnesota for about ten years. We stopped because we were planning on moving to North Carolina, but when we did not sell our house like we had planned .we decided to stay, and pore more money in to the house fixing every thing from the roof to air-conditioning lots of landscaping. We like it hear a lot! Only three months are hard (January February and March) otherwise we love Minnesota. Remember Bill is from New York and he still has family there we see them every so often.
Love hearing from you.
God Bless ,Sally
Hi Syndi,
Thanks for the update of your life. For some reason I thought you lived close by me. I live in Covington, between Kent and Maple Valley. We have been here for 21 years. I think you have been here before come to think of it.
It sounds like you have found something you really love doing and that is very fortunate. I know how hard that work is and anyone who loves it is amazing. You must really have God's love in your heart. I work at a middle school as a Health Tech which means I work with the nurse at our school. She is only there 1 1/2 days a week and I work 5 days a week. I love my job as well. I am so thankful to work with kids and help the ones I can. I work in the health room so I get lots of interesting things coming my way. Right now I am off on summer break. I have my mom living with me and she is 93. That is an adventure as well. All of these things do make you thankful for your kids, their health, your own health and all the blessings we take forgranted.
I don't know if you remember our four boys, Todd, Kelly, Jesse and Tim. They are all doing fine. Tim is going to the UW this fall and hoping to get into Mechancial Engineering school. Jesse graduated last year from UW with a Mechanical Engineering degree so we are blessed to finally have them almost gone and on their own. Tim will be the last to leave. I have been raising kids for 41 years and now I have my mom. God has a sense of humor is all I can say. The jokes on me! Just kidding. I love my family.
Thanks for your number, I will try to call sometime. If you are ever in this area stop by. love, jewel
How are you? I am so glad that I found this web site. It is good for the soul to reconnect with old friends. I found the 16th Coprs picture that Randy George posted and It is amazing how young we all were.
Your job sounds both rewarding and challenging. It sounds like you are great at it. Tell me about your boys.
I am doing well, living in NH. I have two great kids. My 16 year old daughter (Kelsey) lives with me, and my 14 year old son (Chris) lives with Sue across town. We were married for 25 years. We recently got diviorced, no drama, no lawyers. We are still pretty civil to each other.
I have a great job, and I am involved with a little downtown church that I like a lot. I just came back from a Bible study that I do every Tuesday night.
Drop me a line when you get a chance.
Love,
Vince
PS: Do you still have the leather pants :-)
Sorry, but I couldnt resist.
Dear Cindy
Wow! So good to be able to talk to you again! How have you been? I have so much to tell you to catch up. Have you ever heard from Michael Steinberg? Bill and I lose contact in 1986 that last Rock of Ages. Which was so wild and CRASY and lots of FUN (only because we were with you guys, in that pop up). After that rock I was sent to new port Richie Florida. Bill was sent to Frederiksberg Virginia. where were you sent? May be we can get on a chat some time! I know all of us are very busy, but it would be so nice to catch up. Love sally
