"It is something that we both ended up homeschooling. I wonder how far away you are from us. I can't see how to send you a message here, but if you're near the south of Maine, perhaps we could meet up sometime in the summer or something."

Good to see you here. It's been a long time. I haven't the time to watch your videos right now, but we have a new holiday CD that has a song Six White Boomers that has had me thinking about Australia again. I'm also "chief manager and…"

Do you…"

  • Hi Karin,
Nice to see you here! Beautiful family! We live in NYC and run a fellowship in our home.

  • That would be fun! We're about 3 1/2 hours from Boston, but maybe we could work something out? Lobster Festival time (first weekend in Aug) is the best weather around here. Any other time you could be socked in with the fog. (which is why I can't have a garden, that and the deer love my green peas)
  • Hi Karin! So nice to hear from you. Isn't it funny we're both homeschooling? And our kids are around the same age too:) Oh and by the way, I have the entire set of Austen's work in one volume:) I love her sense of the ridiculous. It's timeless.
  • Hi Karin,
I'm really glad you sent me a message - it's a treat to find yet another homeschooler on this site! I started a homeschool group, if you're interested - not sure what the point would be except that I always think it's fun and encouraging to realise that there are plenty of people who do it. We can cheer each other on!! smiley-gen013.gif
It's funny that you are familiar with the song "Six White Boomers". I have posted a YouTube version of it to a few people on this site - just for laughs.
I would love to stay in touch and find out more about what you are doing and how you get along. How old are your children? We moved back to Australia about a year ago and are just beginning to settle down into our "routine" again.
    Enjoy your New Year!!
    Lots of love, Sarah
  • Hi Karin: So nnice to hear from you. Yes they sprung up. Cory is now engaged and will graduate in the spring and get married 2 days later and then off to work for EXXon. I woould love to slow things down at times. Sounds like you are staying busy and have a great group of belivers up there. Love to you and Karsten- hayward
  • Kariiiiinnn! There you are. And yes, 'tis I, the one and only Geordie Stewart (except there are others of us on Facebook. Besides, I changed my name to Jesse in 1992 to mark a shift in my life - back to singlehood. Got a 19 year-old daughter in the meantime.)

I have thought about you quite often and wondered how you are, what your busy brain might be up to and when we might connect again. lol I recently found this website, when Bonnie Patino tracked me down on FB.

I am living in Toronto with lots of interesting things on the go. If you are ever in this area, please let me know. I get to NYC fairly often but not to New England. In the meantime, would you like to talk on the phone?
    Jesse
  • Hi Karin,
Thank you so much for the kind words. We will be coming out with some new music soon. Where do you live?
  • Hi Karin, I sure wish I could be a part of this, I'm hoping others see it and join all you wonderful women! Sure love you! Please give the gals my love as well,

  • Dear Karin,
Aiming at a Master's in Florida Studies with a view to a PhD in some area of English. Right now, however, I'm on extended sabbatical from school to take care of some other needs. As far as being busy, I remember two things my mom often imparted during my formative years: "I'd rather be busy than bored," and "If you need something done, give it to a buy person."
Where in New England? My family and I holidayed up there a couple of years back and we loved it. We stayed with a friend in western Connecticut, drove up through Massachusetts to spend time in Vermont, and did a day trip to the reservoir area of upstate New York. Wonderful area, I hadn't been since my hitchiking days of the mid 80s.
Your family is lovely! Glad to see you are doing well, loving God and living life.
    Warmest regards, Richard Hodge
