Are they on here?
Yes, I was in the 11th Corps through relocation. I dropped in December of our first year when my father became quite ill. I stayed home to help with my family.
More importantly, I am from Delaware. You came there just as I was moving out again. I still come back a couple times a year to visit. I married Michele Wolle of the 9th Corps and we are still at HQ raising our family (15-year-old boy/girl twins and a 13 year old girl.) Michele's family is in Chesapeake City, MD (Eastern Shore) and mine is still in the Dover area.
It sure is great to hear from you! I'm glad life is good for you.
God bless,
Rick
The 14th Corps got out of residence in 85-86. has to be a typo. So there is no way that info is correct. Couldn't be. I was i the 14th Corps. I woulda remembered him, don't ya think?

Sorry I haven't gotten back with you. I been on a roller coaster. Shore has not been fun.
Are you available this weekend for talking on the phone? Now that I know more I can talk...
Cryptic isn't it? Let me know when,
Thanks for thinking of me,
J
I'm glad to have you on my list of friends, but I haven't figured out how to use that function yet. I have to admit it, I'm still pretty computer and Internet challenged. My wife always has to help me, but I'm getting better at it.
Isn't it amazing how some things written to us as a "church" thousands of years ago but somehow hidden as if a nugget of gold in the earth, when we see it shining in that creek because we've meticulously panned for it, thrill and bless us!
I think each of the nine aspects of the manifestation, when understood as to how it is primarily profitable, becomes more clear as to what it is and what it does.
Take the interpretation of tongues. If it, like speaking in tongues itself, "speaks to God and not to men," and is primarily intended to "bless God" and not to profit other believers, then speaking in tongues with interpretation does NOT equal prophecy as we were taught! The interpretation will sound like a prayer to God, which is exactly what speaking in tongues is, rather than sounding like prophecy. Speaking in tongues does not automatically change its nature and God does not intermittently alter its design when we are going to interpret. That makes no sense and there's nothing in God's Word that indicates this. It remains what the Creator intended it to be and its usage by His creation in a believer's meeting doesn't affect that.
I Corinthians 14:13-17 gives us an example of what speaking in tongues with interpretation is: "...let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret....I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding." Then, after the tongue is given with the interpretation, "Amen" is appropriate to be said at the giving of thanks to God, not the giving of exhortation to others.
Therefore, both speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues are in the category of prayer profitable to God.
Now, speaking in tongues "edifies" you (I Corinthians 14:4) because you realize you are praying perfectly in the spirit to God even though you don't know what you're saying, but the "profit" is to God because he does know. And, interpretation edifies you and others (I Corinthians14:17) because you know what was said in a tongue instead of not knowing or being confused, but it's "profit" is to God because what was said was directed to and for Him.
So, if you've been speaking in tongues and prophesying afterwards, you've not been following God's instructions to interpret the tongue, and you've missed out on the tremendous blessing that interpretation is and one of the greatest thrills of a lifetime. God wants all of us to have his best and I write not to condemn but to enlighten you as God has blessed me. - Gary
