  • I Just want to tell you how great your on-line bible studies are! The concepts are brilliant and life-changing. I am understanding God's plan all along for the first time. I hope you make these widely availalble. They have cleared the air in my head of so much fear. I will contact you via e-mail to see if any more studies are availalbe. Thanks and love, Marilyn Shirley

  • Oh Sue you are as refreshing as you were inresidence...I wish I would have gotten to know you better. Your life made a difference even though we were never together on a one on one basis...You were my hero on many levels because you were a take no shit kinda gal and you had already found yourself and you were augmenting what was already found...I was 19 and didn't know much of nothing...walked around with my eyes wide open trying to take it all in...

I love it...minister of peace and love explosions...

I think I am finally where you were too many years ago to count...I am so glad to hear how rewarding life is to you and that you are still making a difference and still not taking shit..,you are good!!!

  • Sue, the last time we were together was at your Methodist Church in Denver and your cabin...somewhere in them thar hills with Yvonne. I read your bio and you are an awesome inspiration to me. I just love you, Sue. God has blessed you and I'm so thankful you never lost your zest for life! I loved the line "a glass of wine and lots of explostions." • Sue,

I will be heading out to Denver in two weeks, driving my daughter, Cailey to College. She chose Colorado Christian University over so many others in order to be surrounded by faith rather than drugs and drunkenness. I want to see you when I get there, if you are around, God willing. Send me an email -- stevenbudlong@earthlink.net
  • Sue,
I can hear your voice and it makes me smile while reading your text. You came to Maine in your camper shortly after our exit from TWI. I have thought of you often over the years. You gave me hope that life would continue outside the Way...and indeed it has, in a wonderfilled way. Bless,Robin
  • so it's funny how you think things are gonna settle down, but they just get crazier. so what am i thinking about? just life, sue, regular old life. looking for a new job, working 3 days a week at my old job, looking for freelance work (i'm an advertising copywriter) the rest of the time, and then, hopefully, DOING freelance work, keeping up with my 16 year-old daughter (my 23 year-old son pretty much keeps up with himself, thank god!), doing the college prep thang and scratching my head about how to pay for it--i'm sorry to say, those things have occupied just about all my thoughts lately. wish i had something lofty to report--have you read Guns, Germs and Steel? some worthy thoughts in that book. i liked that book so much i'm gonna get the CD out of the library and see if i can actually RETAIN any of it this time around!

and yes, i'm still playing rock and roll, out in the beery, sweaty trenches. the real rock and roll experience, i think, is about thinking less--getting out of the way, almost, and letting it happen. i'm still working at it. the best stuff is when you can step back and watch yourself doing something you'd swear is beyond your ability. tiny, shiny moments, the kind that last for seconds on end.

it's amazing to me that you remembered that chris geer stuff. I didn't!
i still wish i'd caught on sooner, or acted on what my insides were screaming at me. i guess lots of us do.

i'd like to hear what YOU'RE thinking these days. i never knew you well, but well enough to know you're a good thinker.

  • Hi Sue,
I read somewhere that you are finishing your exit project on the manifestations. I would be very interested in seeing some of your work..

One of my fondest memories of the old class was when VPW was in England or someplace and a minister said if you give me five minutes I could prove you wrong about what you are teaching but there was a scholar he was talking to that said something to the effect that we would need several weeks to discuss it - the point is that he was contrasting the two - I got quite a chuckle out of that whenever I heard it.
