"I love that poem, Lonnell. Haven't kept up on this blog but it looks as though it got a bit heated. Too bad. I for one, have no idea when the Lord is coming back but I sure am glad it's nearer every day and I plan to be waiting with baited breath!…"

  • Hi Stanley!
Would you & Bo please keep my oldest son Marcus & his fiance Marielle in your prayers- 4 wks pregnant & being monitored very closely. More follow-up blood work today. Thanks- I really appreciate it. Love to you both :)
  • Always wanted to get a bus and do that. Toni Z. and i spoke of that often, after our trip to Africa..

You are a hero to me, why... you were you. Wit, wisdom, humor, and strength all in one. Thats a gift. You were not full of condemnation, but exaltation, and for that another gift you bestowed to me.
You always believed in me, just a small gift for you, kinda big to me. My life is full now, and love what the work i do, have lots of kids working for us, and have tons of time to make a difference in their lives, as you did for me.
a hero...someone who influences, changes, inflames new ways of thinking. Not Webster, just my definition. Hope you guys get a chance to check in Philadelphia on your travels, love to bros, and Bo....
    Hope.
  • hi stanley i saw you on hope's page and decided to say hi. I trust all is well. send my love to Bo. How are tom and Kathy. When you speak to Kathy please send her my love and tell her I think of her and her family often. love donna
  • Hi Bo, Hi Stanley,
I'll not forget you many kindnesses in our times hanging out together in the house in the woods. Loved 'em and you, Beth and I are working with young people here...
Keep us in your prayers, ok, Mahalo and Aloha ke Akua.
    God is Love. Your brother,
    CH
  • Two books by Michael Quinn about the Mormons will curle your toenails. Quinn was excommunicated by Salt Lake but still considers himself a true believer. His books are about the developement of the Mormon Hierarchy-- Origins of Power and Extensions of Power. He m,akes it quite clear that the LDS is still an Us vs. Them culture. Here're a couple of samples: 1) LDS is to Christianity as Christianity is to Judaism; 2) LDS leaders are willing to: re-write hisotry; lie to the general public as well as Mormons; LDS see themselves as subjects of the kingdom, not citizens of the nation; make any necessary alliences to achieve an end. It's quite alright to retaliate against an enemy, individual or nation, after the fourth attack, no holds barred. Leaders do make make financial disclosures to anyone--the average Mormon is taught not to ask, and gentiles can be lied to.

Yeah, it's really made me a stonch Mitt supporter.

So--are you guys still on the road in your giant bus? Hope all is well. God bless. Sue.
  • Dear Stanley:
God bless you richly in Christ Jesus! It is exciting to hear that you a always seeking more of God. That inspires me. Being in the denominational church (Dorothy and I are "enrolled" members of First Assembly of God here in Honolulu), is both a blessing and an aggravation. I love the people that we fellowship with. They honestly want to serve God and help people. They pray and work at all the tasks that the leadership directs with a cheerful heart. I do too! What is aggravating is the lack of in depth teaching of the Bible. For that, I go to paraministries. I do try to teach what I have learned in my Sunday School Classes.
I am deeply concerned with what is happening in our nation. There is clearly a push to totally eliminate any mention of Christ in government, schools and business. I admire groups like Focus on the Family and CBN who are trying to alert the Church to take a stand for God in every community across the country.

  • HI Stanley......Surpirsed to hear you sold your home in Tampa, and glad to hear you're at The Promise Land more often.... I ran across the birthday invitation (still can't throw anything away) and went to all the pictures from MI. What a great time! I know your birthday is coming up so I'll say "have a happy one" now while I'm thinking about it. You'll have to stop in on one of your trips through Atlanta..... Will Susan be anywhere near here over the holidays? Holly is moving to Atlanta, so I'm sure Sylvia, Holly & Shelley would love seeing Susan. Love to Bo and all.....Rhonda
  • Not sure when we will be empty nesters. My son has decided to go to UConn which has a branch here in Stamford. He says he is going to get his own place with friends but that remains to be seen and Samantha has two more years of high school They both made honor roll first quarter. Really proud of them.
