"God bless you Sheryl. Thanks for the note, and love to you and Mark too. Hope all is well, we are good out here in the wild west. Onward and upward! Maybe we should go out into the Nevada desert and speak to some cactus....Ok, maybe not.

  • Hi, Steve! So excited to see your name! I'm still over here in Missoula (Stevensville), have a horse ranch, elk hunting. Do you remember when we were running from the plow dudes in Anchorage after we tore down that sign at the Bush Company -- and the Montana cop finally nailed us at the airport?! What another great time.

If you are actually in Spokane, let's hang out before the snow flies - 3 hours away.

    -- your brother Steve
  • Wow you are still in Spokane WA. I have not seen you since we went WoW. I was thinking of you the other day. John Richeson and I were remembering our year in Erie, PA. What a great group we had. I hope all is well with you......Melanie
  • Steve! John and Charlene here in NC. Great to see you online.
  • Steve, I should go on one of your climbing expeditions one day. I am a natural born climber. I thrived in the high rise window cleaning trade. I also believe I was born WITHOUT a fear of heights. See my page and a few pictures there.

On the other hand I may be just the type you do NOT want to climb steep cliffs with. Ha, ha. 16.png
  • Well Steve, I just read Tina's howdee doo to you, and at the end of her note I read that Fount must have passed away. Damn. Just the other day, Shannon and I were talking about "Fount and Sue". And you know, for a good while there, when I had heard people say "Fount and Sue", I always thought they were talking about your Mom "Fountain Sue", like as if she was always a fountain of the love of God or something. Finally, Shannon corrected me and said; "No Kev, "Fount Croskell (sp?) is Steve's Mom's husband. His name is "Fount", therefore "Fount and Sue"....And I had to laugh. And just the other day we were talking about that and laughing about it again. Oh well....Life is what it is, but for US, when he returns, it'll be another story! Yeah! And so, sorry to hear that Fount must have fallen asleep. But no doubt he had a good run of it, and was privileged to be married to your Mom. I got to know him a bit when you and I went up to the LEAD lodge to pick up Sarah one time and Fount and Sue were caretakers. Give Shannon's and my love to your Mom okay? And love to you and the kids, and, to your wife! Happy for you Brother!

  • Jack and I will always be "young jocks" in our hearts. These days our bodies are less cooperative. Jack is more of a student of the Word than ever even I thought possible. It's as though he went through a wall in his spiritual walk several years back. This has made our partnership sweeter than I had imagined. He is such a wonderfully tender man of God. I, like most believers, don't have near the time to truly work God's Word that I would like, but my intimate relationship with our Father has been rejuvenated and the wealth or teachings we still have continues to inspire us and trigger new personal studies all the time.

We coordinated a fellowship in Crestview for quite some time, but now are fellowshipping in Niceville with our Corps sister, Shari Wierwille, and her sister,Robin, also WC, their families and others. As time and numbers afford, we strive to fellowsip with other believers in our home. Mark and Yvonne "Priddy" Purcell were running a fellowship on sundays there is Niceville and we enjoyed fellowshipping with them also. They moved back to Kentucky where her family resides recently. It's such fun to watch the dynamics of God's Household move and groove. (70's term, huh?) The walk is fun.

Don't remember if I told you our son, Jake, is in San Diego now. He and Ryan Smith are becoming great friends. Joy in the lives of our children is so personally fulfilling. I never expected this abundance.

You are so totally righ about how much fun it is to be able to play with your grandchildren only when "they" and "you" are up to it and then give them back to Mom & Dad when they tire of the fun. That is so wonderful. Of course, there are those times when you are the sitter and Mom and Dad are truly gone. On those days, you get to develop the depth of your relationship with your grandchild. Now that is COOL!!!

Well, Steve, I can talk and talk and talk via the air waves. Life is grand here. So blessed you've again found a life's companion to enhance God's Word in your life. Sorry to hear about Fount. When you speak to her next, give your Mom our love. Glad she is coming home to her family.

Always tight with my LEAD brethren,
Remembering the pacts we made to one another,

    Tina
  • God bless you Kev!
Very nice to hear from you, glad you are alive and well and holding down the fort in the not so frozen north. I sent you a note via snail mail a couple of months ago, and wondered if you were still up there, and lo, there you are! Small world when you think about it. I send my love to you, and yours. May God hold you in His mighty hands, and open doors in front of you, as He closes others behind you.

    Love you! Steve
