About Me
I've been married to Bo Reahard for 33 years, have 2 grown children--a 25 year-old son living in Richmond, VA and a 28 year-old daughter living Missoula MT. Bo and I recently sold our house in Tampa and bought a motorcoach. We plan to tour the country when we're not in residence either in Michigan or SC. We're going in search of revival in America to see what God is doing in the great country of ours.
We left TWI in 1984, started a home church in Atlanta that year. Since moving to Tampa we've been kicked out of the Episcopal Church (twice) but continue to support various ministries both in the US and abroad.
My Interests
Always seeking what God has next for us and loving each day that He continues to give us. I love playing golf, gardening, curling up with a good book. I still hate exercising but have to or my body falls apart on me.
Employment or Career
Working on a book of memoirs about growing up on the Isle of Palms in the 1950's and keeping Bo going so he can make enough money that I don't have to 9 to 5 it!
Music I Like
Love a lot of contemporary Christian artists like Steve Camp (Mercy in the Wilderness) Kathy Tricolli (Sounds of Heaven). Enjoy jazz and classical as well--especially Joshua Bell on the violin. Oldies, of course--Simon and Garfunkle, Willie Nelson, James Taylor. I guess you'd say I'm pretty eclectic in my tastes.
Books I Like
Love the Janet Evanovich series on Stephanie Plum for laugh-out-loud escapism. Enjoy well-researched historical novels by Philippa Gregory (The Other Boleyn Girl, etc.) Like Jodi Picoult for the sheer audacity of some of the subjects she tackles. Like Ann Patchet's work--just ordered her new book. Also Lian Hearne's Tales of the Otori series set in feudal Japan--really fun.
Television I like
Gulity pleasures=Desperate Housewives, Lost and Shark. Bo seems to be more into CSI and Numbers--go figure. We also seem to watch a fair amount of golf and tennis on the tv.
Movies I like
What would I watch again and again? Indochine, Casablanca, Elizabeth, The Queen, Out of Africa, Shakespeare in Love, Forest Gump, the Nativity Story...I'm sure there are more.
Sports Teams I like
The Bucs.

I never got the other reply but I got this one!
I checked out the yoga spa site and it looks wonderful - did you do any of the eco tours? It would be great do spend a week at a place like that.
Tico is what Costa Ricans call themselves. Ex-pats and others who live there or who are closely connected also call them that. Our house is in a mixed neighborhood made up of Ticos, North Americans and Europeans. It's an urban community but the houses are mostly all newly built. We can walk to shops and restaurants.
I didn't realize you and Bo let TWI as early as 84 - we left in late 86 and moved back to Dallas that Jan. It's been a ride but we're doing well.
So, where are you and Bo in your travels now? Did you know that Yeadon's inlaws live in Plano and we were at the same church with them for about 7 years? Nice folks. They live about 5 min from us. Allison was in a Bible study that Jessica led and Betsy was in youth group with Jessica. That was a few years ago now.
Do you have homes in both SC and Michigan?
Great to hear from you...

Steve and I would love to see you when you come through the Raleigh area. You mentioned you were going to see some other people here, too. Would we know them? If so, maybe we could all get together at the same time.

Doing the bus tour gives me a great laugh. I'll bet it's a little different than the love buses of the 70's (you know the old school buses painted in paisley colors with smoke wafting out of the windows).
So are you working while you travel or retired, or both?
What is the Tico community? Is that the name of the town where you are building? Are you thinking of moving there permanently? I thought it was quite lovely--travel to and from was a bit long, but, hey--you and John are younger than we are! My neices and nephews who've been in Mexico on the mission field all did total immersion and found it very helpful--the biggest thing is to get over your fear of looking foolish when you're learning another language!
Keep us posted on developments. Love hearing from you.

Where was the Yoga Spa you and Susan went to?
