"Steve,
That picture was taken backstage at the Fillmore durning the 40th aniversay
of the Tower of Power. There is a story to that picture. The end result was
"By His Stripes We ARE Healed".
God Bless

All is well here. Nancy and I are still going strong after all these years. I still play

My wife Nancy has a page already and I thought it would be fun to have one
too. Let me see about newer versions of the old Takit stuff. Dan Moran may
be able to help. God Bless

  • Hi Skip, Nice ta see ya here. I'm curious, do you still keep in touch with the band Tower of Power? A friend of mine who lives in the Bay area said they, Tower of Power is still around and playing. Anyway, just wanted to say hi
  • hey skip! How are you? Good to see you on this site!
    nancy....(no longer married to greg)
  • Hi Skip - God bless you. No way you and Nacy have been married for 38 years! You are only 39!!! Lisa says hello and sends her love. We are well and glad to know that you are too.

  • I have fond memories of you, one of your sons and David Fair were best friends in 1984? I was on bless patrol on the covered bridge behind the pond at the Wierwilles. They hung around for a while, caught some critter and made up a song for me on the spot and sang it as they went up the road back to the Rock. It still is one of my fondest memories of my time with the Way. God just blessed with those two and their presence.

    Love,

  • Hey I know you
  • The man, the myth, the reason I picked up a saxophone. You don't know me from a hole in the wall but I just wanted to let you know that I was always a big fan and you influenced me to persue music. From Joyful Noise to Takit (Young Buck RULES, I wish I had that album!).

I work in the music business now so between making being a Christian cool to picking up that sax, you have a big something to do with my life. Thanks man!
  • No that's good. I am of the viewpoint that husbands and wives should register separately and each have their own page. Others register as a couple but I prefer separate. You have been married 38 years! Wow, that beats our mere 26.

Anyway, yeah, if you could check into where I might get my hands on that music digitally.......I don't know how to contact Dan. He is not on this site. But I truly wish he was. I miss him, and Randi too.
  • Hey Skip, welcome. I hope you enjoy some of the content here. It is great to see you on here. Who didn't enjoy your music and talent through the years in JN & Takit?

Do you know where I might get a digital version (CD or MP3) of Takit to replace my old LP? I transferred manually from LP to MP3 myself but the quality is not good. I posted Discovery on the playlist on the main page of this site from one of my attempts. It is not good and I want a replacement. If you listen to it you will see what I mean.
