Ron Szoczei replied to John Richeson's discussion In Memory of Terri Moore
"Hey Dan,
Honestly I don't recall who took the picture, I just supplied the camera.
I think it was a 14th Corps guy named Chris Baxter (I think) who was our group coordinator.
That was a reduction of the full group shot which is attached. I'm on the…"

"Hey Randy, Thank you so much for these videos. It is tough to explain how I felt watching them, but it is good to be able to show my wife and daughter some of the places and things that were a very big part of my life at one time, so long ago."

  • Yes Ron, you have a lot to be thankful for.

It's those 3 kids that helped me put on the pounds that I am thankful for. They are what keep me going. I know I would have given up by now if it weren't for them. They keep me young at heart to and I love it that their friends all call me mom and confide in me. It's nice to be able to make an impact on our young.
  • OMG that nick name is still sticking and no I didn't maintain the right to be called that. After the 3 kids lottabodski takes on a new meaning. lol There's a lot more to go around. But that's age for some of us.

So how have you been? Sounds like you have a wonderful family. Kudos
  • Thanks for the glowing comment on my writing, glad you were challenged as well as entertained, writing is kind of my thing. May get around to posting some more, will let you know.
  • Hi Ron
We just found this wb site today. We were skimming through the members and Richard had to stop and read about you. We were both surprised and happy to see you here. I don't know why my picture didn't upload. I'll work on it.
  • Man, can we relate to the trinity thing!! I did a paper on that subject for a college class, "The Bible as Literature," and though the professor admitted that the logic was sound and the references were good, he said that "it would be too much work to change his curriculum." We currently attend a United Methodist church and have had sit down discussions with both the current and former pastors regarding the trinity. Both were impressed with our knowledge of the word but, of course, clung to their seminary indoctrinated doctrine. Neither, however, ostracized us from the fellowship, and in fact, both Diana and I have been on mission trips to Cuba with the congregation and I even served on the board of trustees at the pastor's request. You know, Romans 10:9&10 says confess Jesus Lord, nothing about confessing him God or man. I know trinitarians and non trinitarians that speak in tongues. Now noone will ever convince me that JC is God, but maybe we put too much emphasis on the devisive aspects of religion rather than focusing on the commonalities of faith. I wrote a piece once called "You Can't Put My God in That Box!" As God is limmitless, it stands to reason that any box that we construct, no matter how big, simply restricts the working of God in our lives.
Sorry to hear about Ken, and about Ian. Joe Perry was in residence with us during the turbulent time of 95 & 96 and we weren't surprised when he was annointed to the top dog post in Canada. Man, London, HQ, Goldie's, that would be like a page from the past! We have some dear friends here who are ex Way Corps, but most of the rest shunned us as soon as we left fellowship. My bible says one spirit, one Lord, one body, but oh well life goes on and there are still those with a passion for truth.
You might enjoy the pieces I posted on my blog.
God bless you and yours, Richard.
  • Right, as long as you have something on :-) see ya Iain
  • Hi Ron, forgot to mention, we serve coffee at 10:30 and we start on time at 11, and are out of the hall pretty sharp. So if you can make it for 10:30 we can have a chat before it all begins. see ya Iain
