p.s. you look beautiful in your wedding px
  • Kris, So I took a look at the blog. I'm reading Charles Swindoll, Grace Awakening, and considering that I fell into the traps addressed in Galatians--some corruption of the pure simple doctrine of grace, folks spying out my liberty and substituting rules to follow to please them (they were in sync with God and I was out of step??) and being taken in like Barnabas with their hypocrisy.
  • HI Kris, My mom is well--91 now. I went to Rye to Anne's mom's funeral. Many memories. I'm sorry to hear about your Mom as well. It's that season of life... I like to think about the good times we had and the great things we saw. I'm still so thankful. Ali
  • Dear Robert, How nice to hear from you. I'm glad things are well and that you're happy. Thanksgiving sounds like it was a good time. (I left a message for Alison but never heard back. I hope she's okay.) Anyway, the book is coming out this June, published by Bay Tree Publishing out in San Francisco. I'm very excited though it has some hard things to say. I hope you'll have a look when it does come out. (You can pre-order on Amazon if you want.) Did you say you just recently left The Way or did I misunderstand? take good care. all my best, kristen
  • Kris,
Thought of you this Thanksgiving season as Gloria and I, with Juliet our grown daughter, stopped in Westport CT to see the Freelands. It was a party like one thirty-two years ago when I first met you and when the expectation of a life with God was rekindled in me. We saw Hugh and Alison and their children. Brian Heaney was there with Abbie. I reminded him that he led the believers' meeting where I was so electrified, to see that the power and intimacy I read about was here now.
Gloria and I "lost" The Way this spring and have found much more quality fellowship, tenderizing and edifying, than we have known for a long time. DId you publish?
  • One of the things that made me think of you was thinking about some of the songs we'ld sing while waiting on the meal line at camps. You would always be asked to start "Do Lord". I wanted to teach my fellowship that one. Wonderful times, great memories I have of camps.
    Ever hear about Chuck R.?
  • Hi Kris - yes, that's a tat! I have two on the shoulder, one on the wrist and the one on the arm. Its high enough a regular t-shirt covers it. I never got any on the "public" areas. The one on my wrist can be covered with jewelry.

Gives new meaning to "lifetime commitment" - LOL.

I hope all is going well and continue to look forward to your book! I'm so glad you are here and other places and sharing with others.
