About Me
I'm happily married to an oil painter. We have six kids between us - four are his, two are mine, one I helped raise so I really have three kids (if that makes any sense.) All of them are grown and on with their separarte, fascinating cult-free lives. I'm a clinical social worker in a maximum security prison where I work with mentally ill inmates. I have also written a book about my experiences in The Way called Losing The Way. It's been a very diffiicult boook to write but I've changed the names and identities of some people with the exception of VPW and myself. (I hope you won't recogize yourself.) Life has been good to me. Peace.
My Interests
I enjoy writing, reading, poetry, art, Shakespeare, trauma therapy, meditation, journaling, human nature, my dogs, my fish, my bird, horseback riding, golf, swimming. My deepest abiding interest lies in spirituality and my family - my childrenand my partner Lucky.

p.s. you look beautiful in your wedding px
Thought of you this Thanksgiving season as Gloria and I, with Juliet our grown daughter, stopped in Westport CT to see the Freelands. It was a party like one thirty-two years ago when I first met you and when the expectation of a life with God was rekindled in me. We saw Hugh and Alison and their children. Brian Heaney was there with Abbie. I reminded him that he led the believers' meeting where I was so electrified, to see that the power and intimacy I read about was here now.
Gloria and I "lost" The Way this spring and have found much more quality fellowship, tenderizing and edifying, than we have known for a long time. DId you publish?
Ever hear about Chuck R.?
Gives new meaning to "lifetime commitment" - LOL.
I hope all is going well and continue to look forward to your book! I'm so glad you are here and other places and sharing with others.
So if you're thinking of moving to New England, now is a very good time because prices are very low. And glad to hear you're writing. New England is a great place for that, too and art in general. Thanks for being in touch. best, kristen
