About Me

Still in love with God -- have 2 daughters, Joanna, almost 23, who graduated from Wilmington University in May 2008 and is now working in her field, Behavioral Science. Danielle, almost 21, just finished her junior year at the University of Delaware. She is a history major. Steve and I were married for almost 26 years and divorced in July 2002. I really miss our in-tact family. I work a lot of hours during the week (for a dentist) and try never to spend a weekend without friends, my daughters and church. I am very thankful and so excited to be with my Corps brothers and sisters on this site. No regrets!

My Interests

Reading, writing, gardening, dancing , talking, socializing -- traveling. I like being "in tune" spiritually, physically, and, hopefully, mentally! I love being home and I love being outdoors! The beach, the City (food, entertainment and shopping), the country, mountains, almost any body of water and walking in parks or the woods. My true love is interacting with people -- really connecting. I'm crazy about Life! "Lookin for adventure, in whatever comes my way!" - Born to be mild?

Too many to number -- the last one I saw at the movies was Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married?" and the last one I saw on DVD was "The Apostle" and "Big Fish" - I liked them all!

Sports Teams I like

I don't play any sports, but I like to exercise. I like watching sports sometimes, especially baseball if I'm outside on a nice day at the stadium!

Sorry to hear Steve left you--he seemed so very good to your mom. But then, that was what, 35 years ago?! So many who married in the Corps are now divorced.

Sue Carol Zola. Last I heard, she lived in southern California. We met there years ago, and she was a distributer/sales rep. for a line of glasses frames.
She said she realized that TWI was full of idiots before our 3rd year in the Corps and had planned to get out after our graduation. Her friend left the Corps, but she wanted to finish. She said it was just a thing with her-- to finishe what she starts. Her parents probably taught her htat. She said they also taught tow great life lessons: 1. A person should be out of bed and dressed by noon;
2. Never use your teeth as tools. I always liked her.

Thanks for the kind words! As you noticed, there were no real close ups! You and Allisonn both look young too! God is good. The peace of Christ keeps us from twisted stresses that many people endure with knotted stomachs and strained muscles from just plain confusion and exhaustion. How I wish I could present our Lord to people such a way as not to scare them away! Each conversation holds a bucket full of images and experiences a person has collected that we know nothing about. It really takes a good investment of time and an honest, trusting relationship to show someone we care -- and then show them how He cares us. I think our yourthfulness tends towards a lovely witness that God has blessed us with -- a warm glow from His Light that doesn't burn out. Hope your holidays are beautiful!

Allison's right ... I couldn't tell which one was you and which were the daughters. In fact, I thought your girls were with one of their friends! You are beautiful, Rita. Thanks for your comment about me and my sister. She has always been my Best Friend, and it certainly is a forever thing.

Holy Cow, Rita. All of this is such a sudden surprise. One day Peter Jay says "hey, you gotta check out this web site" and the next day I'm signed on and get 25 e-mails. Yikes. I haven't heard from some of these folks for twenty years. What a joy. I laughed out loud for ten minutes reading some of these posts. Great to hear from you. Steve and I live in Skillman, four miles north of Princeton. I love it here. So sorry to hear about Steve, this sadly has happened to far too many dear believer friends of mine. But I also have seen God do marvelous things for many...He turned their mourning into dancing and I believe He will do so for you also.

Thank you. I think Jesus rubbed off on you. God is good, and I do love Him, the best I know how. He is LOVE so, He teaches us. I've noticed, being single now for 6 years, that the married women just don't "hang out" with the singles -- and I guess that went for me as well. Little did I know what I was missing. Little do they know how lonely it can be. I am thankful God has drawn us to each other.

Rita, This is so cool! I just called Kristy to tell her all about this site. She is still a beautiful dresser and in the same dress size as when we were in residence. I haven't gained 5 pounds in the last 30 years. the moustache has come and gone at times. I'd put a picture up if I knew how. I need some help there. My kids aren't around right now.
