"Hard to believe it's been that long, and interesting to read the comments and see where we were. I've evolved in many ways--new degree, new career, a couple of new homes in a couple of states, and my kids well set on their own paths. But none of us…"
"The Library is still there. It is owned by the local State College and used for document storage. In decent shape though. My daughter and I passed through Emporia, in September of 2008. Kipp and Emporia Halls were gone, torn down and replaced with…"
"Esther please write or email to HEather at the information I posted above. You can also call her. It is amazing you found your name. I am sure they wwill add your name. It's not that hard to edit that web site page.
"Here is a video of some former Way C of E guys who were students there 36 ago. They apparently met for a reunion. Looks like they had a great time. If I am ever in Emporia I would like to go up there again. I'll make a second signature.
"Well said, those that were called Kristons in Antioch.

It all really boils down to faith or not, hey.…"

Nice stuff, Michael! Listened trhough to your songs - I like the overall sound. "Billboard" - nice tune! They're all memorable, "Nearly Fearless" has a Lennon sound on the verses. Sounds good on the guitar, and the bridge after the solo is slick with the piano. What're you recording on/into?
I wll Michael - Tal..met Tal this weekend, he sits in on guitar with a local band leader of "American Drag" that does music at a church we go to sometimes up here - "New Vintage", as a side gig. You may already know, he's been with Credence Clearwater Revisited for awhile now. ("CCR"). Saw him at the Dunlop booth at NAMM and ended up we came back on the same plane across the aisle. He's a really nice guy and great player. I never heard the Sons when he was with them, it must have been an interesting mix.
Hey there - thanks for checking it out Michael! The Hag - never to be duplicated! I've seen the Sons a couple times in the last year, Haggerty and Chaplin have parted ways for good (whatever that means) it seems. I'm getting some more of my stuff up and around here - http://www.northbayguitar.com
if you're interested - think there's a few new ones on the "My Music" page. Peace!
I love your songs! I really like "Get Back in the Box" and "Big Teaser." You have such a great rock voice, you need to bring up the vocal tracks on all of them, but especially "Flawless" and "Lawman" - I couldn't make out the lyrics. But I'm sensitive to that. It drives me crazy that most top 40 artists write lyrics that no one can understand. Your lyrics are great, too. Your hooks are strong, in fact still running through my brain.
I hear John Lennon's influence heavily in your compositions as well as Bobby's guitar style. I like all the songs. Your guitar playing is wonderful as usual. Good job.
We recorded on a friend's MAC, and I think I'm gonna have to break down and buy a macbook. We finally got Rick's 24 yr old son to move out, so his room is now our rehearsal room, complete with mics and monitors. I think it's time to set up our own studio. Too bad the economy sucks so bad. I hate to spend money now until our portfolio regains some of its losses. But one of these days I'll break down and get the stuff we've really wanted to get for years now. The good part is the longer we wait, the better stuff we'll be able to get for the same money.
Any recommendations for equipment like pre-amps or mixers?

Thanks, Michael. These are unedited recordings, done on a Mac with Logic Pro software. The harmonies are the "marian schilling choir" - what fun being able to harmonize with myself! It's so much easier than trying to find someone who can hear, find, and sing harmonies.
Tonight I should have time to listen to your songs. I agree that adding a bass line would anchor the songs, which I tried to do with the keyboard, but I should add a bass track. We're using all midi instruments, and MAC has a ton of them in Logic Pro.
Thanks for the input!

Happy B'day Dude!!!
I'm so glad to know you are alive and well, brother.
The best to you...

You've always been one of my favorite musicians.
