  • Hey there you,
Did you read the Maher article? Hey and by the way thanks for sharing the Anderson Library Dome pics, that really set off some memories.

My heart goes out to lots of folks from the Way…..I must have been a real odd ball. The beautiful lady that spoke to me about God and His Word was so close to perfect for my situation, I was 16 and she was 30 something, that no mortal mind could have arranged our meeting (more on the marvelous details of that fateful meeting another time). At five or six years old I started looking for God and at 16 still had not quite found Him. Ha! I had many of those unanswered “God if you want me…. prove yourself” occasions.

My relationship with Maguitta was that of constant questions and answers. I would ask, ANYthing, ANYtime and she was always willing to show me the answer in the Bible, not her opinion, just chapter and verse (ok, don’t anyone choke). If she didn’t know the answer, which happened many times, we would go and search the Word and try to find it, sometimes we did, other times we didn’t and there were those times where what we found I didn't like or didn't make sense. This is where it all started for me and is not to different today.

Michael, I would love for you to post all those unanswered questions and the ones you can’t live with….we could blog about them, a new one each week, sounds very stimulating, smart, exciting, real and honest. Just the way I remember you….but, alas more to come on the baby and the bathwater….
  • Hey there,
It’s good to hear from you…the last time we spoke you had a week off but that was months ago….the day after I saw your blog on the baby & bathwater, the thought that crossed my mind was to scan the paper at Starbucks…..what’s unusual is I never look at the paper. The first thing that grabbed my attention was this article about “Religious” with Bill Maher, which I’ve provided a link to if you have time to look at it. The article is called, " A nonbeliever takes religion out for a spin". Anyway I wonder if you were aware of this movie coming out and if that influenced your blog………more coming Cathy

  • Hi Michael:
I updated my profile but just to say that Lena and I got to JAM with a band called "Rusted Root" the beginning of August. I figure it is the height of my musical career. dang it was a lot of fun. that group is very high energy.

I'm now back to playing my Banjo in the quiet of our study, no crowds, nothing, Lena once in a while will clap for me...
  • Hey there...when you get back from vacation I would love to discuss this last blog, unless you don't want comments at this time from the "christians"...ha!
  • Hi Michael,

You contributed to a discussion, and I must have signed up for something which lets me know when people contribute to discussions I am interested in. The name immediately jumped out as familiar, and when I checked your photo I knew I had seen you somewhere. Goodness, we were all so young then, and now the memory is getting a little rusty - LOL! Trust all is well with you :-)

  • Hi Michael,
Your name came up in my inbox, and I knew I had known you at some point! I either met you in England (Manchester), or at Headquarters. Hmmm! I was in the 13th corps at HQ all year 1982-3. Were you ever in Manchester, UK? :-)

  • Michael, you made me cry! I am so very proud to be on the wall of the Anderson Library! I cherish my time in The Way Corps and by having my 'mark' on the wall, it signifies that I really did graduate!!!! God bless you for posting this treasure. Belinda L. (Fitch) Collica.
  • Perhaps you are right. I can't think of another band name. So...by default...it's Called Out.
  • Hi Michael,
Going by too fast! But at the same time I'm really enjoying having all three of my sons here - they really keep me laughing. I'm leaving this Friday to spend a long weekend in Rochester with my 87 year old mom. It's been on my heart to spend time with her - I'll get to see my three sisters as well, so that should be fun.

Chuck and I are both busy working (neither I us knows how to relax very well) but we love being together.

    How's your going?
  • My son, Garrett (now 23), played the solo on Don't Feel the Pain.
