  • Sorry to misunderstand you, Michael, but you know how words can get misconstrued and misinterpreted, then feelings hurt.

Yes, we did play at every function and we were the best at what we did. There was not a band like us in the 11th corps. I do not mean to get all Biblical here, just metaphorical, but every plant has its flower, a beauty, an essence all its own. That's where I was going with my comment.

Called Out had a lot of fun together! Those times were some of the most remarkable and memorable in my lifetime. I have always appreciated you, Kris, Erik, Michael and George (when he played with us) more than you know. Perhaps I've never said it so directly. But, my life would not have been complete without all of us intersecting in a brief moment of time. It was a synergy I have not seen the likes of since.

I have no idea what impact we made on others because I've never heard it mentioned. Did we change, inspire others? I don't know.

Perhaps that is why I continue to write and produce, hoping someday to make a lyrical / musical statement that is real to the human soul and spirit. Though my lyrics today do not present themselves in a Biblical garment, and may seem to be secular, I believe strongly they are indeed spiritual, and touch the nerves in the human experience.

I hope many people will hear "Lethal Paradise," yes, and buy it and really listen to it. 3 songs from that album are on my page, but "Glad You Came" is a statement, where I've come to in my understanding of "the God factory." It's not really a song about Christ. It is about every individual ever seeking God in organized religion, instead of seeking directly.

This getting too long. Cheers my friend!
  • Michael:
There would be several people upset about Called Out being the only 11th corps band.
  • Yeah Terry is a monster, he just released a new cd, sort of acid fusion, but still great. I've got all sorts of gems, Im currently trying to clean up and remaster a rough copy of "Minus stems and seeds". email me at allegro11@cox.net, and I'll give you a list. Are you a Jerry Haun, Mike Finnigan fan? Howie
  • So, a fellow Sons freak, we used to hang with them in the back room of the Filmore, family dog, avalon, matrix, etc. Ive got music and vid of them, and other SF stuff, how did you get turned on to them.

  • hey back at you rockabilly dude whats up on long island i still have a brother(Dave) and my sister (Marie)living there gonna get back soon
  • HI, Michael. I did get your "hi there", but I'm not entirely literate when it comes to all this email/blog stuff. I can't even figure out how to read your
profile. So how the hell are you? You're on Long Island? I lived ther for
about 6 months. Loved the ocean and the Italian food. And you're a Rock &
Roll king there? What're you doing? What're you thinking about? I was
thinking about you getting the "The best thing for you to do" line from Geer
years ago. Catch this flight; that train' another bus--and you telling him "just answer my question". You caught on quick. They guy's a sociapath. But you
had his number. So many years ago--but it still made me chuckle today.
Anyway--catch me up. What're you thinking about these days? Love &
    God Bless, Pierce.
  • Flattery will get you everywhere! Seriously, I feel my age everytime I try to crawl out of bed in the morning. But in my mind and heart I still feel about 25
  • He's no friend 'o mine.

    He's Italian.

Can I get a hat like that?
  • Michael!
It seems so long ago to think back on the days of Yakima and watching a true New Yorker and a bunch of country hicks all fellowshipping together, now that alone was a riot! I am happy to see you are back in NY. I have still never been to NY. You may remember Debbie went to school there. One of the few enjoyable things I recall of those years in the mid 80's was your music and especially your rock concerts that you put on every year for us at the King County Fairgrounds! That was FUN! That is the number one thing I continue to hear from folks when recalling those years. We do miss you and Janice both very much. We do plan to go to the 6th Corps reunion this Summer. This site is just about the extent of our involvement with Way Corps folks pretty much since 1988. Take care and Best regards, Jeff.

Nice....you're just a "one man band" well not really w/ the moondogs and all. Don't know if you remember Don Graniero...I think w/Glad Tideings?? They are trying to produce their daughter's songs and having some real difficulties. Anyway it's wonderful that you are still doing what you love and doing it well. More later gotta get the run in before the rain.

Oh well I thought I did, crazy me!
How's your week going. Is that your daughter in the one picture....she's beautiful!
