Hope you have had a great birthday and keep making music and…"

"Happy Birthday Ted,
I have never met you, but have to say Hello and Happy BDay to someone who is sharing my birthday. Now I know of two musical legends who share my birthday - you and Billy Joel.

Have great day in the life of your song."

It's funny that you should remember polka music from your Minnesota experience. Growing up in rural Minnesota, I heard way too much polka music. So much that I have probably exceeded the OSHA threshold for the amount of polka music one…"

  • And Happy birthday to you too Mary! And thank you for the kind comments. I love Minny soda also. I lived in Fargo, ND for a year, and it seemed like a place called "Detroit Lakes" in Minnestoa was the place to go to in the summer for Fargoans. I went once with a local gal and her family to the cabin on a lake. Very beautiful there. And, Ms. Riley, you have a lovely last name! Haha!

Tak care and may your day be filled with His blessings.

  • Hi Mary!
I'm not an official member of the red hat society but my cousin is an active organizer and she bought me the hat. I formed the singles group on a total whim and have no idea what will happen out of it. Maybe we can shoot for own own reunion within a reunion in 2010.
    Love,
    Carleen
  • It's like we haven't missed a day. huh? Weren't you at our house (Dean Boonstra's) when I made my one and only attempt at Lemon Merague pie. That was a joke.........

I loathe Polka music. They played it at the bowling alley, my client played it all day when I cleaned her house...........if ya wanna watch me go bananas do that.

Animals are so trusting and they don't deserve abuse. But you are right, people that abuse animals will do it to humans too.

We won 40 lbs of Nutro dog food for telling Lassen's story. That was cool.

Ozzie is scratching himself raw, so off to the tub with him......gotta run. I have no idea, he is allergic to something. We are weeding it out now. Bless his heart.

  • Mary,
I noticed in your music you didn't put Polka, as a WOW vet from there (Faribault) isn't that a requirement. Just pulling your chain.

We have two rescue dogs ourselves. Lassen the most emotionally damaged of the two was found cowering under a car on an Indian Reservation in New Mexico, he was taken to Colorado where my Ron got him. Then there is Ozzie, he is the happiest dog I have ever seen. Hard to believe he too was abused.

It took me two years of concerted effort to get Lassen to trust me. Even now it is with reservation.

It's good work you do...I think all boys should be neutered, it turns them into nice people. : )
