I have not visited The Way Corps site in some time, and I notice some additional names to the In Memoriam list. As I viewed this thoughtfully expressed tribute, I was once again moved to tears, as I reflected upon the goodness of God, for the…"

I have added to this post because as you quite rightly said the indentation is ridiculous and there is actually no reply option that I can see on your last post. I assume there is a limit on how far the indentation can go.

  • Lonnell,

Can Lisa and I send something to you at the address for Ambassador Press? We want to make sure it would get to you.

  • Greetings Rev. Lonnell, You'll never know what that article in The WAY mag..on DOULOS, DOULES, did for me..how slavery has been distorted and TRUE freedom & service only comes when we truly SELL-OUT to our one & only LORD & MASTER(kurios) JESUS CHRIST. It set me on a quest of a lifetime to understand this truth to this day...IT"S A DAILY WALK, a JOURNEY,not a destination. THANKS for your STAND..AGAPEO(Forever the Greatest), Joe M.
  • Lonnell,
I'd love to reach Reba if you have any her contact information. Feel free to pass along my email address: stretchmoore@earthlink.net. Please give my love and best to your wonderful wife. We do need to stay in touch.... 34 years since Baltimore... God is so gracious.

  • Lonnell, we are looking forward to the works you mentioned, we will try to get to Barnes & Noble this week. For Thanksgiving, our son Samis bringing home 4 teammates from Puerto Rico that have never had a Thanksgiving such as we do here. We are pretty excited about it - and in planning our shopping this morning Lisa called it a "new shoes day" - a phrase that we have enjoyed and used so much over the years, right from your wonderful poem! Love to your family.

    Mike and Lisa
  • Thanks for the full poem. One of our staff showed up one day with a purple wristband from his church as a reminder to be thankful and not complain. Now there are four of our staff wearing them. (They all work over in our office building while my office is over next to the shop.) This has had the side (intended?) effect of wrapping a love blanket around my business partner, whose desk is within growling distance of all of them. I am very proud of them and how they are taking a stand. Good News Day was a way for me to contribute the other morning. Psalm 118:24 is a wonderful verse. If our cat (Gabriel) wakes me up early I sing it to him --I am not sure if he can quote it yet, but he purrs and I start the day out on the right foot.

So wonderful to hear from you. Sure has been a very long time since our experiences in Baltimore. My wife and I have been in NC for about 22yrs. Didn't you teach in Fayetteville at one time? I've always admired your calm and peaceful presence.

  • It was an overcast day with a light drizzle this Thursday morning. Was the mood of the staff prepared? Were their faces set like a flint or just a little bit soggy around the edges?

With nary a thought I broke out in verse for them:
"It's a new shoes day. No way to lose day!"

Indeed, now fully committed I had to carry through with a convincing presentation as I struggled to recall the words of the great master. Should I stop? Is it true engineers can't rap? With renewed intent I pressed on to victory!!

...so it was with great delight to see your face only a day or so later. Marion and I esteem you and Brenda and your manner of going out and coming in with God's people.
