Ken LaPrade commented on John Alton's blog post Christ Our Passover - Part 1
"Dear John,
I really appreciate the heartful thinking in you 3 part presentation. I believe you hit on some true parallels between deliverance from wrath in the exodus from Egypt and future deliverance from wrath for those who faithfully (obediently)…"

"Thanks, John, for the great reminders here. Understanding this background facilitates seeing the consistency of the original Passover truths in relation to several truths in I Corinthians. For example, we believers as "many" are symbolically united…"

  • Hi Ken,
    I saw your post in International Outreach. Are there any believers in the Ixtapa area?
  • Amen & Amen! That is my heartbeat too.....
    My heart for you for now & ever:-
    Num 6:22-27
    22 The Lord said to Moses,
    23 "Tell Aaron and his sons, 'This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
    24 "'"The Lord bless you and keep you;
    25 the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
    26 the Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace."'
    27 "So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."

    How much more will God bless His kids today!

    Ephesians 1:33 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
  • Thanks Ken for your comments. That has been my theme & heart for the past ten years….”thy Kingdom come”. The Kingdom massage has been ignored for too long! God wants us to know and not be ignorant. That is my prayer, that our eyes see, our ears hear and we grow in understanding moment by moment. The Book is written, we are now experiencing the film. How Great is our God, how kind, how wonderful HE is for allowing us to know, read, study, see, and hear Him. I remember your name from the Corps days. May God hold you in the palm of His Hand until we meet again? My love to El Pasa - it is warmer there than here in Germany

  • God bless you Ken and hello to and from another 7th Corps. It is great to see you here and learn how your life has progressed. Have fun on here - it is wonderful to reconnect with you.

    Mike
  • Hey Ken!
    Thanks for the note. I always appreciated my time spent in Ciudad Juarez and El Paso too! I use my weak conversational spanish weekly if not daily. My connection there has earned me opportunities to converse with a lot of people.
    Everyone should gain perspective on life by living with you and the people you serve.

    BTW I saw your school work is similar to Colleens in that she works for our local school district with developmental pre-school kids.

    Anywhoo be good and God bless

  • Hey there Ken,

    Thanks for the reply. And, I guess that was a "lame hello", but I had just finished reading an article about El Paso/Ciudad Juarez, and how rough it is down there, and then made my comment. No doubt you know the real "ins and outs" of the place and know where to go and not go.

    Anyway, thank you for your kind comments, and Shannon sends her warm "hellos".

    Y, Dios los bendiga su esposa y tu Familia. Mi Espanol is no muy bueno (as you can see), pero, yo gusto hablando en Espanol (whenever) el opportunidad (arises) Adios hermano!

    Tu hermano en Christo,

    "Cobbeen"

    (that's "Kevin" the way my old Mexican sheetrocking partner Librado Argueta used to say it. Now Shannon calls me "Cobbeen" from time to time...hah!)
  • Ken, Thank you for your kind words. I count it a privilege to ever do anything for The Lord. It was a great time to be together as families and it was a tater of god times to come. We love you and remember you all fondly. God bless you richly, Don
  • Hey Ken! What you been up to the last few..... days? Thanks for dropping me a line and adding me as a friend. I wonder if you'll get this message before I see you tonight!
    God bless,
    Craig
