"Shaun,
Greetings to you! I don't check this site as often as I should, perhaps, but thank you for the note. You're right! With the overwhelming number of students at the classes (and the passage of a few years!) I remember few of the students. But…"

"No, we moved here to Maryland in 2005. We're doing quite well here, with me computer programming and both Gervais and Pauline in school seeking eventual employment.
Much more, but a bit much for an email message.
Say "Hi!" to Steve Axtell!

"My goodness - you get around the world! And congratulations on your license. I'm AB4VU now, but my antenna is only a loop in the attic - doesn't get out on HF very well. But, at least, a HF and VHF system is set up.

"Sorry that we didn't see you this past Sunday. I suppose your plans changed. No, I don't need Mark Jone's number - I see him from time to time. Did you know he's a pastor now at a Baptist church in Eastport?

"I should thank you for the trouble of maintaining this site! I didn't see the "Tips" under "Members" and was looking for a procedure for deleting a picture. My "profile" pic looks o.k., but not as a picture. Too small!"

Thank you for sending a note! November, already! When I first logged into the Way Corps site, I don't think I was prepared for the onslaught of messages and well wishes, and have had to handle many responsibilities here. But I'm getting back…"

Thank you for sending a note - last summer! As things went, I don't think I was prepared for the onslaught of messages and well wishes, and have had to handle many responsibilities here. But I'm getting back to this list and was blessed…"

Blessings to you! In reply, yes, I did join the site, and was somewhat overwhelmed with responses and the circumstances of life! I'm only now getting around to some replies - please accept my apology for the delay.

It has been awhile since I last wrote. A few more details since last time - Gervais has been taking classes since last fall to be a cartographer! It was a long study and soul-searching, but she is having fun with it and is starting to send…"

Ah, but Morse Code is a wonderful thing. Sorry the computing world cannot keep up with it. I am slowly learning this site, and even slower to get out replies to the torrent of responses, but I shall. And it's great to see your pictures!

  • Yeah, I inherited a good set of genes too. I do not work out as I should and I do not eat right, Yet have never had a weight problem. I weighed 155 in high school. I weigh 170 now.

There is a chat feature. Bottom right hand corner. It haas a few flaws but it is better than nothing. It shows who's online (logged into the site). But that does not necessarily mean they are in the chat room.

You can also pop out the chat in a separate window and keep it open even even if you close the site.

This site has a lot of features. Lots of bells and whistles. Let me know if I can assist. Also look under the menu "Members" and you will find a sub menu called Help and Tips which has a lot of info.
  • Aloha John, God bless you and yours! We think about your often....and remember
the blizzard in Michigan when you came to teach! I love learning about the stars..

love to your beautiful wife and kids!
Beth (chas sends his aloha too!)
  • Hi, John. Good to see you on the site. Wasn't the last time I spoke to you in Southern Caliornia? I'm sure you've done some studyin' since then, I would love to hear about it. Do you have any works available?
  • Erich,

Gervais and I are in Olney, Maryland, with Pauline at home with us and starting graduate school in D.C. this fall. And Robert starts at Ohio State in the fall, also! Lots of adventure here getting these young folks ready.

    Love,
    John
  • Hi John,

Did you recently join the site? How are you and Gervais? I know that Dane talked with you not too long ago. I miss our get togethers.
