  • Joe:
Good to hear from you. I'm kind of new at this stuff so bear with me. Dan is traveling in Utah. He is a territory manager with a fireplace and gourmet grill manufacturer out of Barrie Ontario, Canada. He has 5 states he manages setting up dealers and distributors. Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas along with Las Vegas, NV. It certainly keeps him busy. I help him with reports, etc. We have lived in Colorado Springs for the last 12 years. Love looking at Pikes Peak and the Front Range every day from our windows.
    Take care,
    Joan Vail
  • Very glad to hear that Harm is flying. Obviously it pays to stay focused. You gotta stay focused if you ever want to become a professional pilot. There are so many road blocks.
Let me know how it works out.
    Greg.
  • Hey Joe,
    Nick Wolfe's little sister here.
It is good to see the Wisconsin crew showing up. If only Frithiof would. OMG, the fun I always had with all of you. Of course that could be because my brother is a bit crazy. Click on my name I have a picture of Nick over there and his son Phelan. They live in Durango CO.
    Take care. Patty
  • Hi Joe,
I wish we'd connected a week earlier. We were just up in Chicago. Some folks from Wisconsin drove down in the ice storm to hear Bob teach. Amazing love.
Are you writing in any context? You're so funny. I think I still have some things you wrote in the Corps. We cherish you.
Regarding Harm, we miss him too. Haven't heard a peep from him since November of 1997. Every so often I hear a little something. Rumor has it he's flying.
    Love to you and yours,
    Constance
  • Joe,
Thanks for the update. What is Viv doing? Happy to hear she loves it. Catherine started in a custom frame shop at a chain called "Hobby Lobby". So, we are knee deep in frames and our house is starting to look like a gallery - stuff changes weekly.

Glad to hear that you did the engineering thing. I am quite sure that you are a heck of an engineer - cause - you, like John Putzi: "Have a sense of proportion." Most of what I have done in the last 10 years is work between engineering and marketing... kind of a translator. Traveled a lot.

Don't know if you saw the pics - the one with Collin in it has his betrothed in the pic. Clare is a wonderful girl. They will marry next Aug. 23rd. Then he commissions in the Army - with the most feared rank possible - a second Lieutenant. He has done very well... a fine young man. He got to pick his carrer and his first base assignment due to his standing among all the cadets in the country. He, along with all of us here, remember you fondly.

Good to hear from you - very good, indeed.
  • Hi Joe. I always liked you, even though I guess we didn't hang out much. You were always kind hearted, which of course is great when a guy is as big as you are! But, yeah, as Dick Michaud said, it has been so nice to see so many names of people from those days so very long ago and be able to say howdy to them too. I remembered that you were from Wisconsin and that you loved that state. Glad you are where you love to be. Take care and God bless,

    Kevin
  • Hi Joe,
Thanks for writing. Bob sends his love. Just the mention of your name makes us happy.
    Love you,
    Constance
  • OMG JOE!!!!!!!!!

Just 2 weeks ago I was telling my kids about you...! I will be in contact! Joe
  • Hi Joe,

I hope the memories that are overflooding you are positive ones. At least for me it is that way It has been wonderful to see faces and read names that I haven't seen or heard so many years.
