About Me
For the past twenty years I've been associated, off and on, with the Kentucky Christian Writers' Conference here in Elizabethtown. I served two years as the coordinator and now serve on the executive committee.
I'm in the MFA program at Spalding University in Louisville, KY.
My Interests
I've been writing for magazines such as Focus on the Family's "Clubhouse" and "Clubhouse Jr." for many years. In 2007 I published my first book, Songs for Martha. It's creative non-fiction about my mother's life since emigrating from Switzerland. It also includes a guide in the back for people who want to write their family stories and need some help getting started. More recently, I published a collection of Doc's family stories (posthumously)through Westbow Press (see website #1 below).
Books I Like
Sarah Orne Jewett, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Anne Lamott, James Clavell, Annie Dillard, and on...

We were in Rockford. China sounds wonderful. I hope it happens for you. Our son went this past summer. What city will you travel to? It could be interesting to be doing testing for Chinese consumer products in light of recent developments with the toys.

Sometimes I think of you when I remember our "office" at Camp Gunnison. Was the finance office really as small as I remember it? I think it was a bathroon cleared out with two desks squeezed in. We had to get up and move a chair to open the door. Nice to read about you. Please give Bob my love. I have fond memories of you both. Do you have any pictures to post?
Love you.
