Just saw your names on my site. Glad to see your both alive and well with sense of humor still there. Can't believe you've been married 30 years. Isn't there a statute of limitations.
I did 20 and I'll tell you, people do less time for murder so I feel as if I did my time. Ha, just kidding. I do believe in marriage & 30 years is a beautiful thing with more to come.
Hi Jeff,
I've been thinking a-plenty on your comments about getting people to read The Language of God and starting a Blog. Maybe I will one day, it seems so unfair to keep it a secret (!) The implications give me such a lot to mull over and make me want to give everything a good long slow look.
The bird on the top left of this comment is a Kookaburra - they have a jolly sense of humour - I know because they keep laughing (there's a track on my music that is just a Kookaburra's call). The bird that is on the video on "my page" (that is - Sarah's page) is a Lyre bird.
Let me know when you successfully get someone to read "that" book. Maybe we should keep a tally of everyone we "convert"!
Bye for now!
Sarah
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for making the observation about The Language of God - I'm so glad someone noticed! A friend recommended it to me about two weeks ago and I read it in about two days. My own copy should arrive in the post soon. It's outstanding!
But why won't people read it?! It seems quite safe and sensible to me. I didn't turn green and grow six heads, or sprout a long Darwinian beard and start swinging from trees... and I still love God!
Maybe I should start a Blog - but who would comment? The Christians? The non-Christians? The whatsies?
Don't worry Jeff. Now one is gonna ban you from posting on any blog. You have a right to your opinions, Now if someone starts a blog and censors it I do not think it is a good idea. In fact I feel it is a bit cowardly. But unfrortunately I can not control their blog. Rarely does someone do that. No need to in my opinion unless they are afraid of something. It would be boring if we all belived the same thing. Civil debate is healthy.
Which blog are you "unapproved" on? I am "unapproved" on any of a certain guys' blogs'. He gets his panties in a bunch if I disagree with his lefty liberal thinking. I don't think he likes to hear an opposing opinion and therefore holds fast only to opinions that agree with him. Very narrow minded, really. He has been banned from a number of peoples' blogs because he "yells" by using ALL CAPS when he DISAGREES with people. And he calls people NAMES and then can't TAKE IT when someone CHALLENGES him back. I think he is a very UNHAPPY guy, and, he HATES me.
Now, our site owner, John Richeson, is a left leaning kind of a guy, but he is also a gentleman about it, and actually doesn't mind healthy debate at all. I really like John. He just insists on civility, that's all, and of that, I approve whole heartedly. More than once have I wanted to reach through the computer and bitch slap that cretan guy, er, that certain guy for his rudeness. But, he reaps what he sows, and that has become evident around here. I appreciated your comments, by the way, on his (JR's) blog about the "stimulus" money not really "earning us" any dividends.
And yes, I always think of you when I see those signs that say "can food". And, I removed that blog about "can foods" because hardly anyone commented on it. And, that blog was mostly just a copy of the note Iput on your page that you have now read...
Jeff, I need to talk to you about something. Something that has made me think about you every time I go grocery shopping and see ridiculous signs in the aisle that say things like "Can Food", or "Can Vegetables", or "Can Meat". I mean, I always laugh out loud and think that you would say, in your own inimitable way; "So, what does that mean? Food made from can? Vegetables made from can? Or, I also wonder, is "can food" like "dog food" which is is "food for a dog", and therefore "can food is "food for a can"? I mean, I never knew that cans needed to "eat", did you? I mean, wtf? Are they too cheap or too stupid to add "ned" (as in "canned ?") I mean, what has happened to our great and wonderful country where we sacrifice good grammar for no reason at all? Has this become a trend in our nation's supermarkets because it is cheaper for Safeway to spare the ink on their signs to add "ned"?-I doubt that-or are we so danged illiterate with Public Education (read that government botched education) that people don't know the difference between "canned" which would be an adjective, and "can" which is a common noun or a verb? Obviously, this is a major pet peeve of mine. I don't lose sleep over it, but, I'm just sayin...
And so, if you Jeff, (or any of you who read this as a blog because that's where this is going next) are more the wiser when it comes to grammar, please explain to me why this is okay to say (on the grocery store aisle signs) what appears to be to me an idiotic use of the King's English. I am no grammarian, and may be way off base here, but I am thinking that I am not off base. If I am, help me out if I am wrong.
Anyway, "Can foods?"...I can just hear you, Jeff, saying; "Can foods? What the hell is that? Food made from can"? And for years and years Jeff, ever since I met you, I have pictured you having a problem with that as have I, and I laugh and think of you every time I go shopping. It's your excellent humor that I am remembering...
God bless you Jeff!
You were one of the first American believers I met in 1977 when I
came to the US for PFAL 77. I believe you collected me from the airport and I stayed in Ann Arbor, Michigan with Debbie Beans.
I remember having a bath in a "tub" like John Wayne would use in a movie! It was dead cool! You guys made such a profound
and lasting effect on my life...and I thank you. :)
I'll rejoice with you at the Bema when you get your rewards!

Hey, you 2, thanks for your love and prayers. I am doing well, sometimes it seems hard to believe what happened since I experienced no obvious symptoms. God is good beyond our limited ability to think or know; this I affirm and believe. I trust you all are doing well and looking forward to that day of days that is approaching. Love you both, Felix
