About Me
After living in Indiana for several years, I finally convinced Chris that N.C. really was a wonderful place to be. He loved it so much, he brought his mom (Dr. Carolyn Rawlins) down here to live with us. She liked to ask me, "Why did I wait so long?" as she really came to love N.C. Chris and I have one daughter (17). Yep, I am one of those "older" moms but she definitely keeps me young . . . going to rock concerts, riding around with her in her Mustang and going to the horse shows she competes in (as a professional! . . . riding gaited American Saddlebred horses)! She surely did not get that kind of coordination from her parents, HA!
My Interests
Lots and lots of prayer and study!!! Love being a wife and companion to my Chris and a mom to our Amy. Love to cook; love our animals (2 American Saddlebreds, one "rescue" thoroughbred), 2 dogs, 2 cats; and finally finding a little time to devote to knitting (which I love to do also!)
Employment or Career
My oh my, how things change. I still work parttime as a medical transcriptionist but most of my time, thankfully, is in ministry. I was ordained to the Christian ministry in 2015 and have literally been living my life's dream in service. Began working from home as a medical transcriptionist over 20 yrs. ago after having worked as executive secretary/office manager for different companies. Chris has his own estate sales and service business that he absolutely loves.
Music I Like
Don't have a favorite as I really like all music except for, as my daughter calls it, the "scream-o" music.
Television I like
Any and all CSI shows! Chris has coined a phrase for the time we spend watching CSI . . . he says we are doing it to become "CSI-certified!"
Movies I like
Don't know . . . haven't been to one in a long time!

I miss you!
I can see lots of saints remember you and are blessed to see you on this site. I looked at you profile after I left you a note. Your daughter is sweet and I am so glad you had a child. You were a cheerful heart in the crowd in the Corps. I see you do transcriptions. I had thought to do that as a stay home job, but the opportunity came for me to go to school on-line for medical coding. I started school last week and am very blessed and surprised at my age to start such a project. Since Chris is an avid antique collector is your home full of treasures? Love you June Finnegan
When things fell apart we kind of lost track. Did she fall asleep? She was a grand Lady. Frannie (kessler) Higdon
I don't know how uplifting it is to you to talk this way about your hubby's family, But, remembering them so well, I would seriously be willing to bet that you are wonderful along the same lines. They were all such FUN people, especially Craig.
Great to see your smiling faces on here. When are you going to come out to Idaho and see us? Drop us a line or call anytime.
Much love,
Tim
Thanks for the offer. We might just take you up on that. We live in the most northern town in Maine in a town called Madawaska, pop. approx. 4300.
Sue is ready for the south. She's never been a cold weather person. So it's understandable that she'ld like to leave when we retire which should be in seven years.
Yeah, we had some times in the Tenth, didn't we? Fond memories forever for me. Richard Thomas, cardboard cars, midnight marches, great discipline and learning. Yeah. And Oreegun! Wasn't Tonye Koetteritz one of your WOW sisters back then? She was our room mate in Portland (me and Terry Christian's) for a year before I went in rez. I wonder how she is and where Tony got off to. Married a guy named Ted, right?
Well, so nice to know that the good Dr. Rawlins got to enjoy that sweet Carolina sunshine where the winters are mild. I didn't know that, and it's nice to know. She helped us with our firstborn Meagan when she was still a bun in the oven. Meagan had had a twin that didn't make it into the into the second trimester, and there was a some complication. So we stopped at her place (we were on the road to the Rock from Alaska) and she examined Shannon and pronounced her okay (Roz Cohen had already ministered to Shannon and the baby when we'd stopped at Emporia), and Shannon went on to have Meagan at home up in Alaska. In fact, all four of our babies were born at home delightfully and naturally and we credit Dr. Rawlins for her help and educating people as a pioneer in natural childbirth. Love you, and love to Chris!
