I was so sad to hear about your precious Becky. My heart aches for you.
On a lighter [much! lighter] note... was happy to hear that Steven is doing well in college. Give him a head's-up, though, before he goes to the Library at State. I hear both of the books are already checked out. And one has already been colored in.
HOTTY TODDY. GO REBELS!!! =)
God's grace and peace to you, friend.
My Becky is a beautiful 26 year old woman who is in art school in Las Vegas. God Bless you Jim....Laura
You made me laugh and cry at the same time. Becky was an awfully good friend to me in the Corps. She nursed me back to health at Emporia (which basically meant she kicked my lazy ass out of bed). I've been thinking about the experiences we shared - and there were a lot of them. We even spent our summers together when we were growing up - in Deer River, Minnesota - although we didn't know it until we talked about it when we were at LEAD.
I put a couple photos from that time on my profile - Becky is mulling over our breakfast oatmeal in one, and the other one is hiking to the top of El Capitan - it doesn't show her face well, but the determination is pure Becky.
I will find that fish. It will be quite obvious because it will bigger, faster, strong and better looking (to other fishes) than all the others. And when I do I will take his photo and tell him how lucky he is to have had a part of Becky inside him.
Which is true of all of us.

God bless you and your son. I was very sad to hear about Becky falling asleep. Gosh, we just reconnected through this site and she was in my heart and prayers. I know you two had a good life together because Becky loved God, loved life, loved you, and was as down to earth as you can get. Many years ago, she told me you were the man of her wildest dreams...
May our heavenly Father, the God of all comfort, comfort your hearts and minds.
Much love always and forever,
Barb ( Miller) Foust
My heart goes out to you in this time of grief and sorrow at the loss of your precious wife, whom I fondly remember from my days at Emporia with her and the 11th Corps. She was a gem. Know that our Lord Jesus weeps with you, for he loved Becky far more even than you, and he misses her, like you do. He is comforted by the same truth that will comfort you: he will raise Becky to new life at his appearing, and bestow upon her "praise, honor, and glory" (1 Pet. 1:7). Amen!
I love you, and am here for you if I can be of service to you. Hold fast to The Man, for he is the Lover of your soul.
Your brother, John
Precious (costly, valuable) in the sight of GOD is the death of HIS saints (holy ones)Ps.115:16. We have never met, but I pray your grief & sorrow be short. The TRUTH of the WORD does MATTER in times like these. I kept reading 1Thes.4:13-18 over & over when my wife & Mom died ...WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY THAT WILL BE, WHEN CHRIST RETURNS FOR US ALL...no more sorrow & pain...until then, keep busy...GOD does comfort our hearts...Amen!!
