How wonderful to hear from you. Yes, it has been a great many years since we last spoke. I am happy to see you are well and happy. Of course I have many fond memories of you. You may not know it but you are the first person to persuade me to eat catfish.

How nice to hear from you. We are thankful for your good wishes and the same are sent to you! I love the verse you put in the email.
You mentioned the many challenges we may face in our lives. For some reason I am inspired to share the following with you.
A friend of mine wrote in a testimony relating how she was healed of cancer, the following quote: "...Sometimes I had so much doubt creep into my mind, and I needed to guard my heart...God directed me to Psalm 42:11, 'Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance, and my God.'
"The hit home for me--whenever I started to have doubt and become discouraged I would say to myself, Soul, why are you in despair and disturbed when your hope is in God? I would then spend time praising God. Since our minds can only hold one thought at a time, if I am praising God and thanking Him, then I cannot be doubting at the same time. A great remedy for doubting God is to praise God, and it will help you guard your heart. That is how I guarded my heart."
Maybe you know someone who could benefit from this information. The whole testimony is excellent.
