  • Hey Frank,
How the heck are you doing? What do you mean you can't talk that much. I would love to get together with you. I have called numerous times over the year and have not heard from you. What's going on? Anyway there is a big holiday believer get together in Spring Lake on the 20th of December. Everyone would love to see you and Lena. Perhaps we could ride up together since PAul and I are planning on attending. Let me know. You know my number. Love you brother.

    KAS
  • Thanks, brother. I'm actually 65--the Discount Dude. Great to hear from you, and thanks for the kind words. Btw, I had a fine time with Larry ("Book 'em, Dano") Ramberg in WI a few weeks ago. If you've not been in touch with him lately, Im sure he'd love to hear from you.
Lots of love to you and Lena, et al.
    John
  • Caro Fratello Francisco:
    Di ti benedica!
Io veramente posso tagliati i tui cappelli.
Dimi, quando tu poi arrivarai a casa mio?
Mio Fratello, da matrimonia, Roberto Martin, a stato 2 giorni con nostro famiglia. Tu poi anche venerai.
    Con L'Amore di Gesu`Cristo,
    Tu Fratello,
    Giuseppe, Pasquella.
  • Frank,
What a blast from the past! The bands and cords of the love of God! It's really so good to hear from you. Doesn't look like you've changed either. Thanks for leaving me a note.
Brother, may the love of God keep you.

  • Hey Frank!! Thanks for your note, it made my day!! When I think of you all I picture is your smile and seeing your pictures, you're still the same!! You were and are so very dear to my family. I can't wait to tell them you wrote to me. They are all doing great. I'm in Colorado and they are all out in Philly and New Jersey but I get to go home lots. Mom is going to be 86 in January and is still fiesty as ever. She just came out to see me a couple of weeks ago. Mary was here in Sept. for a couple of weeks too.
Don't you live near Kas Mancini- Anderson?? She's a philly girl too and I"m sure she's going nuts over the Phillies like me!! They better win!!!
Lots of love to you and thanks again for taking the time to say hi. After all these years the love of God still binds this great big family of God together, no matter how far or how long ago we've seen each other.
    Much love to you.
    Jodie
  • Hi Frank,
I don't know if I"m supposed to leave this here or if there is a way to put it by your comment on the "blog." What the heck does that mean? Anyway, thanks for your response. I'm sure that getting out of the constrictions of TWI enabled many folks to move ahead spiritually. When the Lord shows up, he'll make the call as to who went forward and who went backward.
Hey, I'll see Larry ("Take cover!") Ramberg on Sunday in Madison WI where I'm teaching. He's driving up from Rockford, bless his heart.
Much love to you and Lena and yutes.
    John
  • Hi Frank,

I had no idea that you had been in the financial services field or that your wife still is. Cool. I came to this after my "job change" in 1989/90. It seemed to be a way to stay involved in helping people in a very vital area of their lives. The majority of the believers I had ever been involved with on the "counseling" level seemed to have money problems. (I put "counseling" into quotes because I long ago came to realize that we really did not have the background/training for counseling from our Way Corps training. It is a farm more specialized field than we gave it credit for many times.) I have my insurance licenses and securities (7) licenses and several industry designations (CFP, ChFC, CLU etc). I started with IDS and have stayed with them through different company changes: IDS Financial Services to American Express Financial Advisors to Ameriprise which is what we are today.

Des Moines was where we lived for two years when we first came to Iowa in 1985. We were there two years then I moved the Limmb to the eastern side of the state since that was where most of the population and believers were. We stayed on here after the "great shakeout" as we had no other place to go. We are not disappointed that we did stay as we have really grown to appreciate Iowa - though it certainly is not everyone's cup of tea. Des Moines was (at that time at least) a really challenging place to live. We did not really like it at all. It has grown tremendously since we left but I still like living where we do.

Great to hear from you - and glad you are doing something that you really enjoy! Love to your whole family -

    Mike
  • Hi Frank - our home phone number is on our page and you can call ANYTIME! (Well almost anytime - but we go to bed pretty early now as we get older! HA HA). Lisa is home most of the time but I work during the daytime.

  • frank, i've heard of them. (according to their myspace, they've gotten a lot of songs on movie soundtracks--must help pay the bills!) sounds like it must've been fun for you. how deep into banjo are you? that's one instrument that's way beyond me. i never could get the hang of fingerpicking. NOSE-picking, yes. but not fingerpicking.

thanks for letting me know. (you didn't get a recording of it, did you?)
  • Hey Frank -- how are you? So great to hear from you! I live in RI with my wife and four children -- God has been gracious! I hope we can get to one of these reunions coming soon!

Take care and may God bless you and yours richly!
    David
